This rooftop apartment is ½ block from the Marina boulevard where you can find Golden Gate views and Yacht racing this summer. You can easily walk to the bay beaches at Crissy Field and watch the sunset over Golden Gate Bridge. The location is two blocks from The Palace of Fine Arts and a further short walk to The Presidio of San Francisco. The Marina neighborhood is unique with most buildings built between 1915 and the 1930’s following the 1915 Panama Pacific Exposition and retains the look of the Mission Revival and Art Deco architecture. The neighborhood’s location is within walking distance of Fisherman’s Wharf, Fort Mason, the Golden Gate Bridge and the America's Cup Yacht Clubs and viewing area. No need for a car the 30 Stockton bus is 1/2 block away and will transport you to Fisherman's Wharf, Chinatown, and the downtown areas.
The neighborhood commercial area is five blocks to Chestnut Street where you will find great restaurants, shops, wine bars, and excellent groceries and markets with fresh produce.
The studio is very private (the only one on the roof), quiet, and light filled. There is one large room and separate kitchen and full bath. It comes with a rooftop area complete with outdoor gas barbeque, tables and chairs. The kitchen has just been remodeled with new cabinets, appliances and stone countertop. All the standard kitchen necessities for cooking are included. The bathroom retains its original mid century tile but with new sink, plumbing and wiring. The hardwood floor is refinished and is covered by a few carpets. The Queen bed has a new perfect sleeper mattress, firm but with a plush top. There is a closet, curtains and mini blinds to close at night.
Includes: Flat screen TV with cable, free Wi-Fi. Laundry available in the building.
Walk or bike to Golden Gate Bridge and other attractions. Great running, biking and walking paths along water (all flat), Farmer's market on Sundays, 5 minutes to National Seashore Park. Fisherman's Wharf 10-15 min walk along waterfront, Alcatraz, Ft Point, Ft Mason historic centers all close. Wine country is an hour away if you want to visit - rent a car for the day from Fisherman's wharf.
Please note: This apartment is on the roof which is the 4th floor. You must be physical capable of climbing stairs, there is no elevator.
The apartment was gorgeous! The pictures do not do it justice. You have a whole rooftop deck to yourself which doubles the space of the apartment - a very rare thing in SF. It's centrally located, a short walk to all the main attractions on chestnut and one block from the bay. Shelley was very helpful and responsive. The apartment was very clean and beautifully decorated. I will definitely be returning on my next trip to SF!!
We had a wonderful stay in Shelley's rooftop studio. The studio was clean, quiet and very cozy. We would love to stay again on our next visit to San Francisco. Shelley was very helpful, organized and made the whole process a breeze!
We booked this for four nights while visiting San Francisco for the first time and absolutely loved it! It's in a lovely area and easy to get just about anywhere you want, close to a great view of the Golden Gate Bridge and a reasonable walk to the touristy fishermans wharf area, easy bus trips to everywhere else. We pretty much just stated in this area and the nearby cow hollow in the evenings as full of great restaurants, bars and shops.
Place itself is lovely. Very cute, has everything you could need, comfy and plenty of space. If you like cooking, great kitchen and outdoor rooftop garden to eat in! Would definitely stay again.
Loved our stay in Shelley's apartment. Will definitely stay here if we visit San Francisco again.
Shelley was easy to work with, the apartment was exactly as advertised, and check-in/check-out was a breeze. Highly recommended.
We enjoyed our stay here. The apartment was well decorated and comfortable. We did not use the patio on this trip because it was quite cold, but it looked inviting. The kitchen was perfect for making a meal. I loved the location- right next to the marina and close to some beautiful homes.
The hosts were responsive when we needed them. They brought us and extra space heater- and that made the room much more comfortable.
This apartment/studio was incredible! Clean, spacious, comfortable, and awesome location. Shelley and her husband had the place ready to go and even accommodated my early arrival. Great hosts and overall wonderful experience. Definitely will be staying there again on my next trip to SF.
Perfect location, bright , sunny and well appointed studio. It was a wonderful spot for my visit to San Francisco. Thank you Shelley!
I loved this rooftop apartment. The views were GORGEOUS. Patio area was cute and perfect for relaxing with a cup of coffee and some conversation. The location was awesome, there were good spots to visit that were in easy walking distance.
The apartment itself was exactly as pictured. And I mean that it was small, but it had everything I needed without feeling cramped. The kitchen was stocked with cooking utensils and basics like salt and pepper, coffee, sugar, cups, dishes and silverware. My travel companion used the grill and he said that it worked great. If you plan on cooking much, there is a market nearby. For the ladies, I found a hair dryer in the bathroom which, for me, was a necessity. As for the rest of the bathroom, it was small but again, it had everything I needed and I found it (sorry to use the word again!) cute. Towels and washcloths enough for two peoples needs. There was also some toiletries which went unused because we had our own. But that was a nice touch.
The only down side was the stairs, four flights of them. Hauling my suitcases up and down the stairs was a chore.
Overall, I loved my stay here. Shelley was great about communication. The place was very clean and comfortable. I hope to come back and stay here again!
This apartment was a brilliant place to stay, in San Francisco. It is exactly like the pictures and extremely well maintained. Communication before we arrived was great and the location near chestnut street, in the marina, is so close to great restaurants and shops.
I would highly recommend this place and would certainly stay there again if I am in San Francisco.
