Fabulous location w/i easy walking distance of downtown Palo Alto, Caltrain, Stanford, Whole Foods, Trader Joes, cafes, shops. Easy parking. On site laundry. Full bed plus guest mattresses avail. Gym closeby! (I have passes)
Completely amazing location and nice place, not posh but nice :) Well lit, too. Easy to park.. Half a mile from the Stanford gym, free entrance with the red pass (which I leave on the fridge magnet).
5 minute walk to TJ, 5 minute walk to Whole Foods. 12 minute walk to Caltrain and downtown Palo Alto. 5 minute walk to Town and Country shopping area, with some nice food places like Mayfield and Calafia (that's the place started by the (website hidden) chef, very good food, midrange prices)
Easy walking distance to Caltrain (Palo Alto station) and to the myriad of busses that leave from the station. Free shuttle to stanford is minutes away, or walk (Stanford is v close y).
The entrance is up the wooden stairs that are behind the driveway, the apartment is on the second floor or a 2-story house.
Karen's upstairs apartment is in a lovely quiet neighborhood, surrounded by mature trees. It's a reasonable walk from the Caltrain station, even with my luggage, although if it had been raining, I would recommend a taxi. At first I was concerned that there was no window covering in the bedroom, but soon realized that the large tree outside guaranteed privacy unless I was actually standing on the bed.
Karen was a great hostess, checking with me on the second day of my two-night stay to make sure I had everything I needed. Although I didn't take advantage of it, there was a standing offer to make use of her membership to a pool at Stanford. Next time I'll come prepared.
Very well-located apartment in the heart of a cute neighborhood. Close to so much great stuff!
I used Karen's place as command central to find an apartment for my daughter. Great location and apartment to do this. WIFI kept the laptop going and the proximity to Whole Foods and Trader Joe's kept us going! The bed was comfortable and there was an extra mattress for my daughter. If you stay, you have to go to the shops and restaurants on University, only a short distance away. Karen was very helpful the whole 8 days we were there. I would recommend her!
Stayed here by myself while visiting family in Palo Alto. It's a great apartment in a great location! It was pretty cold in Palo Alto during my stay but the apartment had two space heaters and an electric blanket. Really comfortable bed. Kitchen has everything you need if you want to cook. Gym passes were on the fridge as advertised. Karen was responded quickly and was super friendly!
Great place, everything you need, clean and comfortable, excellent walkable location near campus and shops. Karen was extremely helpful, very accommodating, and made this a memorable first experience with airbnb!
This apartment has a terrific downtown Palo Alto location - close enough to walk anywhere but far enough so that parking is super easy. The building has a nice feel with kind warm people and Karen is straightforward and easy to work with. We highly recommend her.
Really enjoyed my stay. Spacious place, and clean. Karen also promptly responded to any inquiries I had. Definitely recommend.
This was the second time I have used AirBnB and it was perfect. Karen was wonderful with her great communication easy to follow directions. Her home was extremely clean and was perfect for my stay. I am looking forward to coming back many more times.
I needed a place to stay while moving, and Karen accommodated us very quickly. She has a very cute and cozy apartment walking distance from downtown Palo Alto. Everything went smoothly, and we enjoyed our stay!
Karen was very friendly when we received the key from her. The apartment was modest but all necessary stuff was present. We enjoy our stay especially cozy bed and free washer/dryer.
