  • Listing was accurate, but I didn't read it carefully enough. Location is on a very busy and noisy street. Other than this, it was really great.

  • Excellent stay at the Villas Nicolas for our honeymoon!! Ideal location near the top of the hill in Manuel Antonio (ease of walking to restaurants, and about a 30 minute walk to the Mar y Sombra beach). The studio was fairly spacious but perfect for two, with the kitchen very handy for the lazy "scrambled eggs" mornings (or preparing fresh guacamole with ingredients from the Quepos farmers market). The beautiful hardwood patio with a view was our favorite place to lounge quietly among the surrounding nature. In-unit AC was great to keep the humidity low at night. We traveled here in June, which is the low season, so had the run of the hotel restaurant, bar, and pool. Loved it all!!

  • Great location, lots of privacy, and a BEAUTIFUL balcony. Monkeys came to visit us often and the AC was a LIFE SAVER. We did have a bug problem one day but they fixed it right away and we never had a problem again. Overall, I would highly recommend it. It's close to everything and everyone is very helpful.

  • My husband and I just got back from a wonderful week in Manuel Antonio. We ABSOLUTELY LOVED this studio!

What we enjoyed most was the huge, spacious covered balcony. The balcony is surrounded by jungle views and also has a partial view of the ocean in the distance. Nearly every morning and afternoon, we were greeted by howler monkeys, white faced monkeys and one day the squirrel monkeys even made a visit! We also saw toucans every day.

The location is perfect- wonderful restaurants are in walking distance in both directions. Manuel Antonio National Park and the public beach are a short 5 minute bus ride away, but we preferred to walk down, which took about 20-30 minutes and then we would bus it back because it's all uphill coming home.

The A/C was a definite plus, but most of the time we only needed the fans. We were really only in the room to shower and sleep- the majority of our time was spent on the magnificent balcony! As it was the beginning of the green season, we had quite a bit of rain and thunder/lightning in the evenings. Sitting in the hammock or the comfy chair and listening to the rain and sounds of nature, watching the lightning storm...PRICELESS!

  • We LOVED this jungle studio. Right in the middle of manuel antonio, but still we were feeling like in the middle of the jungle with the jumping monkeys. The studio is very well equipped with a strong A/C, ceiling fans and kitchen utensils. The hotel swimming pool was like a dream and most of the time empty.
The staff was very responsive and addressed the internet/ceilling fan problem we had very quickly. This room was the very best part of our trip!

  • We stayed in the jungle studio for a week. It was easy for us to fall in love with the deck. The swinging hammock, the view of the ocean, the animals that came to visit (monkeys, sloths, a friendly cat) made for an ambience you can't attach a monetary value to. Turkey vultures soared through the sky. Tucans played in the air. There were plenty of kitchen amenities. We booked our zip line outing with the people at the front desk and had an amazing adventure. Excellent place to stay. Try out the Falafel Bar up the hill. We had more up close animal encounters on the veranda than we did at the Park. You'll love this place.

  • We stayed in the Jungle studio for a week in April, and had a really lovely time. The property is clean and comes with a very well equipped kitchen. It reminded us of a charming, rustic cottage or tree house. It was absolutely lovely to sit outside the very private veranda, and look out at the gorgeous view. I cannot say enough about this veranda! You can spend all day relaxing on it, napping, or observing the wildlife. Every morning began with Howler monkeys calling, followed by a visit from Squirrel and While-faced monkeys, and of course the birds. The variety of birds you can see from the veranda is enormous - don't forget your binoculars!

All the pictures of the property are accurate. The room has air-conditioning, but if it's not too hot or humid, the fans suffice to make it comfortable. Always keep in mind that you living in the jungle - there will be lots of nature sounds, and you must remember to put all your food in the fridge to avoid ants.
My only complaint is that the mattress was a bit too firm for my liking.

There are a lot of good restaurants in the area, as well as a supermarket called Super Joseth a short walking distance away where you can buy essentials.

We arranged our birding tours in advance, and had three absolutely amazing days with Roy Orozco and a wonderful tour with Berny Sanchez - extremely knowledgeable and friendly guides!

Overall, I would highly recommend this property!

  • We couldn't have asked (email hidden) to stay for our first visit to Costa Rica. The place was fantastic! Not only were the views breathtaking, the location was perfect and the villa was nicely stocked with everything you would need. We spent a lot of time out on the porch, enjoying the hammock, and the monkey visitors! We saw monkeys every day of our visit!

Thank you for sharing your wonderful property with us!
