The Space

Have the full first floor of the house to yourself, equipped with everything you need for a perfect stay!

Queen sized bed, huge windows throughout, newly renovated full kitchen, bathroom, TV with 200 channels including HBO, WiFi, piano, fresh towels and linens.

Great location on a beautiful tree-lined street in historic Cabbagetown, guaranteed to make you feel at home.

Cabbagetown is a neighbourhood located on the east side of downtown Toronto. It comprises the largest continuous area of preserved Victorian housing in all of North America. Some of the famous businesses within minutes walking of our house include Daniel et Daniel, House on Parliament, Jet Fuel Coffee, Labour of Love, The Phoenix Concert Theatre and St. Jamestown Delicatessen.

Two blocks from cafes, yoga studio, restaurants, antique shops & more. Lots of parks within a short walk including Riverdale Park & Riverdale Farm. Located a ten minute walk from downtown Toronto, three minutes from the College Streetcar.

We're within walking distance of Yonge & Dundas Square, where you can find Toronto's Hard Rock Cafe and the Eaton Centre and a quick TTC ride to the CN Tower, Air Canada Centre and the Rogers Centre (aka Skydome).

I'll be here upon arrival and ready to give suggestions for whatever you need - local bars, downtown restaurants, the best running routes - just ask! I look forward to helping make your stay in Toronto a great one :-)

Interaction with Guests

Call or email any time! I'm here to answer all your questions about the house, using TTC (Toronto's public transportation system), finding the best local restaurants and cafes or what music to check out in the city on any given night.

The Neighborhood

Cabbagetown is my absolute favourite neighbourhood in Toronto for so many reasons. It's just a few minutes east of the downtown core of Yonge/Dundas square and is one of the oldest and most historic communities in the city. From the famous annual Cabbagetown Festival to the proximity to beautiful Corktown, weekly farmer's markets, book launches and wine tastings, it really just can't be beat.

Getting around

We are just few blocks from the Carlton/College Streetcar that takes you through downtown, the Annex, Little Italy and all the way West to Roncesvalles.

There is a bus on Parliament (two blocks from the house) that takes you to the Castlefrank TTC station. Both Castlefrank and Sherbourne stations are within 10-15 minutes walk away.

Taxis can be hailed down on Parliament or Carlton or called to pick you up at the house.

  • This is a fantastic place to stay and I would recommend it to anyone coming to Toronto! Giant high ceilings, a great kitchen for cooking, an awesome record player, big TV with all the channels, comfy bed, big bathroom, and one of the best neighbourhoods in the city at your doorstep. Theresa is super helpful and very easy to communicate with!

  • Theresa's apartment was the perfect spot for our stay in Toronto. The apartment was just our style & in a great neighborhood. We were able to find parking on the street during the weekend. There's also a lot at the end of the street where you can pay to park. We had absolutely no issues & I would recommend it to anyone booking a trip.

The main event during our stay was a concert at Danforth Music Hall and that was just a short (5 min) taxi ride away. The apartment is located in Cabbagetown, with plenty of dining options within walking distance. We enjoyed dinner at House on Parliament and a quick breakfast at Johnny G's around the corner.

Throughout our stay, we also walked downtown to the Yonge Street district. (About a 30-minute walk from the apartment) Yonge Street (& surrounding area) houses some beautiful architecture and more than enough dining options. (I recommend Elephant & Castle on Yonge and Ramen Raijin on Gerrard. Delicious!) The Eaton Centre is a large, indoor mall if you're wanting to shop. We really enjoyed exploring Ripley's Aquarium and Chinatown, as well!

We loved our stay in Toronto at Theresa's apartment. I hope we can take a longer trip back to the city in the Spring/Summer!
