About this listing
Comfortable, sunny and private bedroom with 1 full sized bed and shared bath. My home is a newly renovated three bedroom row house located in the Pennsport section of Philadelphia. Feel free to use the house's common areas - the living room, kitchen, outdoor patio and a small space to chill out in the finished basement.
The bedroom is located on the second floor on the back side of the house. Included are linens, towels, a mirror, TV, closet and a fan (there’s central AC and heat too). I don’t have cable, but the bedroom’s TV is hooked up to an antenna for broadcast channels and also a hard drive that has a library of movies and TV series with plenty to watch. The house has wireless cable internet.
The bathroom is small and shared, but always clean. It includes toiletries and a hairdryer.
Washer and dryer are available for a small additional fee.
Pennsport is a mostly residential neighborhood. There’s a vegan coffee shop and large park 1 block away and some good restaurants that are also close by. Passyunk Square, the Italian Market and South Street are all about a 5 minute bike ride away and are great areas for eating and shopping. Center City is about a 15 minute bike ride and I’m also about 5 minutes from ikea, target and some groceries stores. Street parking near the house is free with no time restrictions and there are bus stops 1 block away.
Please be respectful of the space keeping common areas clean and neat and noise down after midnight. Smoking is outdoors only. Outside doors are kept locked and please close open windows before leaving. Any overnight guests must be confirmed before check-in.
The host is nice and generous. The location is good, near old city and famous cheesesteak. The neighborhood is quite. Clean nice room.
Michael was very accommodating and communicative. The room was clean and private and the neighborhood was very convenient if you plan on going to South Street and Old City. It's also within a ten-minute walk to East Passyunk which I would highly recommend for shopping, dining, etc. Would definitely stay again!
The room was exactly like it was described! Neat and Clean. Michael was vey flexible in working with me on a late arrival. I got to see him once during the trip and he offered some great suggestions for places to eat. I would stay again with Michael.
Perfect place for our first airbnb stay! The room was very clean and comfortable and the air conditioner worked even better than it needed to. Michael gave us the code the go in and out of the house freely. Street parking was a bit difficult coming back late at night and usually resulted in a bit of a walk, but it wasn't overly inconvenient and as expected for a city. We ran into Michael a few times but being exhausted, he was respectful of our privacy.
This trip was my first Airbnb experience, and it couldn't be any better. Unfortunately, I didn't get the chance to meet Micheal, but his instructions were perfect and I had a great time staying at his place. The whole house is very cozy and super clean, the bed is comfortable and big enough and the TV is huge, even though I spent more time outside exploring Philly. The neighborhood is quite and the bus stops are pretty close so it's easy to get to center city.
Thank you again, Michael, if I ever come back to Philadelphia, I know where I'll be staying.
The room is as described and the host is friendly. In the room the desk and TV are thoughtful inclusions.
Between the neighbours throwing a 4h July party and the AC not working I had mostly restless sleep over the three days I stayed. Hopefully this won't be an issue for future guests. The neighbourhood is very residential and it's a good 15-20min walk to any decent restaurant/shops and a 25min bus ride to the city centre.
Michael was a great host, really considerate and helpful with advice about the local area. It's a great little house in South Philly, felt super-comfortable for the week I stayed there.

In my free time I like making music, running and improving my house.
I like traveling, but an interesting fact about me is that I've only traveled outside of the country to go to Shanghai for work. One day I'll get to Canada or Mexico.
