Welcome to Lake Sometimes Retreat, where adventure meets comfort—with no cleaning fee! Just 5 miles from Summersville Lake and 25 miles from New River Gorge National Park, you’re perfectly located for rock climbing, ATV trails, mountain biking, kayaking, and paddleboarding. The New and Gauley Rivers offer incredible fishing and whitewater. For a scenic trip, Babcock State Park and the famous Glade Creek Grist Mill are just 30 miles away.

The space
Welcome to North Shore, the newest addition to Lake Sometimes. This cozy one-bedroom is our largest rental with the ability to accommodate 4 guests. You’ll find a comfy queen bed in the main living area and a private bedroom with a full bed, providing flexibility and privacy. The rental also includes a well-equipped kitchen, separate dining area, free Wi-Fi, a shared enclosed porch and a welcoming atmosphere. Note: no accommodations for children or pets.

Guest access
Luke will send you a welcome email with all the information you need to easily access your room. The property hosts several units, and there’s ample parking for cars, boats, and even a few RV sites available for mixed-use groups. Guests find access easy, and our location right off Hwy 19 makes it simple to find us without any trouble. Feel free to explore our six peaceful acres and take in the tranquility of Almost Heaven, WV.

While Luke loves animals, we cannot accommodate pets and the property is geared to adults only, no children.

Hello, and welcome! I’m a West Virginia native who loves hosting and sharing this beautiful area with travelers. I've done everything from manual labor to mortgage origination and once even owned a Motorcycle shop! Cooking, photography, and storytelling around the fire pit are some of my favorite things.
