Beautiful bungalow which is fully self contained and breakfast is provided. Ground coffee and leaf tea!! Excellent.
Definitely recommended for a peaceful getaway.
Alex was lovely and bungalow was a little haven from the road, lots and lots of plants and trees and green, and even tho only for one night, a peaceful gentle place. Had a lovely chat with Alex and then enjoyed the space, including the little walk across the pavers to the shower and toilet, almost bali or somewhere else :)
Alex and Finn have created a little oasis with a very relaxed feel, tucked away from the busy main road, it is a welcome stop over. Comfy bed, ample breakfast, fresh fruit, huge seperate ensuite, TV, free WIFI, swimming pool, BBQ.
Sawtell is 5 min away! Great beaches, views, sunsets, coffee and more...
Just need to stay longer next time.
Thanks Alex and Finn
Mandala is a lovely little haven, beautiful garden - very peaceful.
Alex and Fin were great hosts and we had everything we needed, except more time to stay and enjoy it all.
We were late arriving at Alex's Bungalow so didn't really get to enjoy / appreciate the nice surrounding gardens until the following morning. We found the bungalow very quiet, private & rather rustic. A nice setup with plenty of space & a wonderful breakfast selection to enjoy the following morning, and it was great having a kitchen, dinning & lounge area all to ourselves! And plenty of space to setup a cot for our bub.
The bathroom is outside the bungalow in a separate hut with a partially open roof, so those with a fear of 6 legged creatures should probably pack a can of insect spray & maybe a small flashlight.
Alex & her husband were very friendly & our 9 month old enjoyed a good cuddle with Alex while we packed the car to leave.
A lovely little stop on our Gold Coast to Sydney journey.
We loved the look of the bungalow on the website, and the reviews sounded great, so to arrive and find everything was even better than expected was a delight.
We only briefly saw Alex as she was busy working over the long weekend, but her husband was always available and incredibly friendly and helpful.
The bungalow is located in a gorgeous tropical garden (bring insect repellant if you're visiting during the rain - not so much for the bungalow, but for exploring the amazing garden!) and is extremely comfortable. There is a nice living area with a TV and DVD player (and a nice collection of DVD's), a great little kitchen that was loaded up with breakfast supplies, and a comfortable bed tucked away in the back.
The pool is right beside the bungalow and is equally inviting.
Unfortunately we had to get away early, so never had the chance to say farewell, but we would not hesitate to stay here again. It's a little piece of paradise that is only a few minutes from Sawtell and Coffs Harbour.
Alex agreed to us arriving quite late as we were on our way from Sydney to Byron, this flexibility was really helpful for us. The little cottage we stayed in was perfect. It is clear that Alex has gone to a lot of trouble to make their cottage warm, welcoming and very comfortable.
Breakfast was set out for us and we used the cooking facilities in the cottage to make some lovely farm fresh scrambled eggs and enjoyed coffee, tea and a selection of fresh fruit. We would highly recommend staying in Alex's cottage - we didn't want to leave.
