Welcome to Galerie Nakai
The holiday home “Galerie Nakai” has long been the living and working place of Hiromi Nakai and her husband Gregor Hakkenberg van Gaasbeek. They bought and renovated this 16th-century house in 2016. In 2025, they returned to live in the Netherlands. Their house with a porch is now available for rent. The sunroom has been converted into a living/dining room, while the office has become a ‘living/media room.’

You can dine in the heart of the gallery, work in the vaulted office, relax in the south-facing garden or enjoy the room under the roofs converted into a relaxation area
The house features figurative works by international artists, a multilingual library and a vintage music collection
Each space invites you to discover, and if a work touches you, a QR code allows you to acquire it directly
The accommodation has three double beds and a sofa bed. Bed linen and bath towels are included and provided in your booking
The kitchen is fully equipped with coffee machine, toaster, kettle, microwave, oven, stove, dishwasher and fridge-freezer.
Two bathrooms are at your disposal, one with shower and the other with bathtub, as well as a separate toilet, hairdryer, washing machine and ironing equipment are at your disposal
You have hi-speed internet, a projector with Netflix for your movie nights, and a hi-fi system with a vinyl collection and a Bluetooth device to connect your own smartphone.
