The Space

This delightfully appointed sleeping space has all the comforts of home. Patio with fireplace, internet access, creek and large wooded lot minutes from the light rail MAX station at the Oregon Zoo. Miles of hiking trails through the Washington Park Arboretum. Walk to Starbucks, Subway, gourmet pizza and steak house. Bathroom facilities are in the adjacent main house. Set up for short term rental 1-2 nights, best for 1-2 adults. Our fenced yard will accommodate a small dog. Heated and insulated for cooler months.

Yurt living is a lot like tent camping, only more comfortable. The insulated walls and roof keep you comfortable, but do let in the sounds of nature. We're located in a quiet neighborhood, but the woods provide their own symphony of sounds day and night. Come, explore, enjoy.

  • The yurt is SO Oregon!!! And, this spot is the perfect place for those who want to enjoy the city, but feel the presence of nature. Jay and Kate are truly kind, wonderful hosts who love meeting interesting people. The zoo is super close, and public transit is a short walk away. Come for the R&R! You won't regret it.

  • If you want a welcoming atmosphere, entertainment, and a calm, backyard sanctuary to stay in, look no further! Jay and Kate are terrific hosts and the yurt is deceptively luxurious.
