Good to know: the house is in town, just off a main road (Route 50, near I-87 Exit 15). That is why downtown is only about 5 minutes away. It is an in-town setting, not a secluded one.
A few favorites close by (drive times are approximate):
- Groceries: The Fresh Market on Marion Ave (about 3 min) and Hannaford on Weibel Ave (about 4 min). Instacart delivers from both.
- Coffee: Kru Coffee on Marion Ave (about 2 min) and Uncommon Grounds on Broadway (about 5 min).
- Casual: Druthers Brewing on Broadway, and Harvey's Restaurant and Bar on Phila St, a good bet for a big group (closed Monday and Tuesday).
- Dinner out: The Brook Tavern on Union Ave and 15 Church on Church St. Call ahead for a larger party.
- Local favorite: Hattie's on Phila St for Southern fried chicken (closed Monday).
