The Space

House with interior garden in a special place in Valencia, just minutes -15 min.- from downtown, popular district of Russafa, next to the old Turia riverbed, the biggest garden in Europe (more 7 km of garden) where the Valencian people make athletics, cycling or simply walking and rest. There is the City of Arts and Sciences and its impressive buildings designed by Valencian architect Santiago Calatrava.
This is a ground floor with a nice little garden and a beautiful facade belongs to the popular modernism of the city. We take care of our home so that the traveler find it clean, tidy and are comfortable as at home. The room is on the first floor for guests total independence, and also has private bathroom on the ground floor, living room and balcony overlooking the garden.

Guest Access

The home has wi-fi to 100 megs and a reference library on the history and architecture of Valencia. There is a kitchen in the garden barbecue type. It also has common areas where you can breakfast and taste the delicious and authentic Valencian paella that we cooked. We invite you to Paella from a minimum stay of 3 nights in the house, and occasionally with people who have hosted at home.
You have as well bed linen and towels in the room.

  • Paula and Paco were very kind to us, sharing some lovely home cooked food and telling us much about Valencia. A city which they obviously love. The apartment was well located for walking to city and new exhibition areas. It was very quiet and we had lots of space there. It was good to be able to use the kitchen when we needed a break from eating out. The area has lots of places to buy fresh food, especially the local market in Russafa. Such a good time with them in Valencia.

  • We highly recommend Paula and Paco. They are very friendly hosts giving helpful tips about the city sites. The room with private bathroom is located on the quiet street with a big parking place on the next street.

  • This is a really great place!
Paula and Paco are wonderful hosts, we were very lucky to stay with them. The guys are very helpful with showing the area and advising where to go and what to do, they offered their help with finding a parking place for our car and we had a great chance to eat Paula's paella :)

The room is clean, you have your own bathroom with hot water and good shower, there's a big balcony at the same floor. The bed is comfortable and clean and you have enough towels.

The location is the best we could imagine - 10 min walk to city centre, 2 min walk to Musafa district (tapas, bars, night life), 10 min walk to Valencian park.

I definitely recommend the place for a short or a long stay!

  • Paula has got a really nice and quiet place only 10 minutes walk from Ruzafa in Valencia City Centre. The room was quiet and spacious and as the bathroom, and the rest of the house really, was tidy and sparkling clean. The bed was just all right and a wardrobe and some hangers are missing in the room. I am not a smoker, and one of the things I liked the most is that, despite of Paula being one, she is incredibly respectful and smokes only outdoors. There is a lovely back yard where we had the really tasty paella with a couple of other guests. That space can also be used just to relax over a beer after a day in the beach or cycling in the city. I believe that for the location and the conditions, Paula's place is one of the best values you could probably find in Valencia.

  • I only stayed two nights, but Paula's place was very clean and the room was big. I even had a bathroom for myself (not on the same floor though). They have a lovely garden and a terrace on the first floor. The street is very quiet so I slept very well! :)

It is located in the non-touristic area of Valencia, which is nice, but, if you want to just go to the center for a short time, it is quite a walk. But... you can rent almost everywhere a bycicle in Valencia so that shouldn't be a probem.

  • Hello.
I stayed with Paula and Paco in the room with the private bathroom for 3 nights. They met me at the door of the house, and took me to the beautiful back courtyard. They had two maps for me: one for the whole of Valencia, and one specializing in the area just north of their house called Russafa. We had coffee, and told me about Valencia. They gave me great recommendations on museums, beaches, restaurants, shops, and clubs. Then they disappeared so I could have dinner and nap. I made the error of using the kitchen inside the house, and when they came back they showed me how to use the one outside (which is the one they use.) It is mostly a hot plate hooked up to propane, but the area is so fresh with places that you will probably want to eat out most times. Upstairs in my apartment was a shared living space, and good sized terrace that gets lots of light. You would share this if they have another tenant. My flat mate was a German tourist and we hit it off and laughed a lot. The private room is a nice size with lots of storage space for clothes and personal items. The bed is also quite large and comfortable. The private bathroom makes the room special as it has two large windows and the shower was stocked with shampoo, conditioner, lotion, oils, and talcum powder. The shower has a hot water tank on the terrace that you will need to light in the morning, but it is very user-friendly and was never an issue.
Paula and Paco are fantastic, intelligent, and considerate hosts. They drove us to the beach outside of town, and to the beach in town. They even made us paella one night, which was my first experience with the dish. We ate family style out of the cooking dish, and Paula even de-shelled and prepared my shrimp for me as I am a wimp.
Valencia is a great place rich with history, unique architecture, beautiful beaches, and a park that runs 7km of the city. The old city is amazing and Russafa is hip and fun in the evenings. I think this is a great place to stay in Valencia.

  • We had a great stay during (the preparations of) las Fallas. Paula and Paco are very relaxed and hospitable hosts. Room is not the biggest but comfortable enough and everything you need is around, a sunny balcony included. In short: great place to stay in Valencia!

  • Paula is a really nice and helpful person. Her cosy house is clean and ideal located in the heart of Valencia city. The tiny garden feels like an oasis, especially with a warm cup of coffee in the morning. I embrace my memory to this short staying. Tnx Paula!
