Come and chill out and rejuvenate!
We had a wonderful 3 night stay with Nancy at her amazing location next to the cactus and wildlife outside Tuscon. Only about a 20 minute drive to be in the city, and was great to be in a country setting. We ate fresh fruit and eggs from her chickens, walked her paths, listened to the owl and lots of other birds and sat by the pool (was a little cool to swim). Nancy's place is one of our top picks for our Air BnB experiences!
Nancy's ranch is the perfect way to visit the great Sonora Desert awhile visiting Tucson. Nancy was a gracious and considerate host! I will definitely stay there the next time I visit Tucson.
We were so grateful to the space in Tucson with Nancy.
Both my sister and I felt very at home.
We loved the surroundings and the use of the amenities of the kitchen and outdoor patios.
Our stay was incredible. We plan on staying with Nancy the next time we are in Tucson.
Thank you Nancy for creating such a wonderful warm and loving space.
Friendly, welcoming and attentive, Nancy is a wonderful host. Breakfasts were very tasty with generous portions. The room was as advertised, a smaller but very comfortable room. The facility overall is lovely, a large rambling house with large common areas, a full kitchen, common deck upstairs and down and a swimming pool. All well tended. 10 acres of desert ranch in an area with unusually populous cactus. Lots of paths on the property and easy to take a mile walk around the neighborhood in several directions and Saguaro National Park is practically next door.
Nancy and her ranch were a perfect getaway.
This haven is a treasure: ten acres of Sonoran desert at the base of the Tucson mountains, end of the road privacy, and a unique rambling house with many places to relax in privacy. Nancy's breakfasts are gourmet, plus the portions were so generous, we skipped lunch 2 of our 3 days. We could stay a week just to look over her many collectibles, photos, and paintings from her travels. Nancy and Deb are busy with their horses and ranch projects, so we often had the roam of the place all to ourselves. And Deb is a massage therapist for any needing back or neck work. We also enjoyed watching them wash their 4 horses. Then there are the birds they feed, cute dogs, baby chicks in a rolling tub--even a Gila monster out in the prickly pear. Overall, our favorite memories of our Tucson visit were mornings and afternoons lazing about her wonderful ranch. Thank you, Nancy and Deb. We hope to see you again next year.
Hi Bill and Cam...
How wonderful is that review.. thank you dear friends...! the birds are now in the coop.. still more to do but they are some happy campers with scratching all the worms up in my compost!
Have to do more shade for the horses... it is getting real hot here! We did use the pool yesterday to refresh after working on the coop... seems to take so much time!
Well friends.. hope you are well and everything going smoothly.. by next year we will have so much more done so it is easier for me .. i feel sometimes like a crazy paper hanger...

What a wonderful place Nancy has! It was so peaceful and relaxing. I just wish we had more time to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Nancy is such a great hostess. And the breakfasts are THE BEST. I especially loved the maple flavored sausages. Thank you, Nancy.
The views were stunning, room & grounds extremely comfortable, the company always interesting, and Nancy went out of her way to accommodate our preferences while making us feel very at home. It is the only place I'd want to stay around Tucson! Thank you so much, Nancy, for sharing your corner of paradise with us.
Nancy is fabulous! Love her... Grounds of ranch are sooo gorgeous. She has put her heart & soul into this beautiful place. It was so restful & soul fulfilling. Nancy & her friends go to great lengths to make sure you have a wonderful breakfast, shared with loads of coffee on the veranda. I am still missing it!
I was looking to access a very specific experience for my mom and I, who were vacationing in Tucson to visit family and shop it up at the Gem Show. I basically wanted to stay close to all the shows but in a rural, scenic setting, in a bed and breakfast or guest house-type of property where we might get to know some locals and wake up surrounded by mountain views and cacti and enjoy a home-cooked breakfast (rather than some boxed cereals and danish at a chain hotel).. It's hard to believe that this jewel of a home is just a few miles from "civilization" because you feel utterly, blissfully secluded. The decor of the house has a sort of authentic 1930s D.H. Lawrence/Georgia O'Keefe vibe jazzed up with exuberant colors and artwork and antiques, plus lots of animal-print details and cushy leather furnishings and a fireplace we cozied up to with our host Nancy and her other guests in the evenings. Nancy was a warm and friendly and welcoming host -- and my mom and I fell instantly in love with her two dogs Mama Zoe (yorkie) and Zena (baby maltese). It was the kind of environment where you can grab a cup of freshly-brewed coffee in the morning and snuggle up with the dogs or let the sun revive you on the sprawling roof deck or wake up slowly on the wrap-around veranda, or poolside (glamorous!). Nancy's breakfasts are memorable and delicious. She set a beautiful table for my mom and I by the window -- there we enjoyed delicious omelets and french toast and quiches, always with a dish of magenta-hued prickly pear jam (and juice to match, served in pretty bright blue glass goblets). Nancy instantly picked up on the fact that my mom and I were extroverted animal-lovers who respond to people who are similarly warm and open so we spent a lot of time talking with and getting to know Nancy (who tells a great story) but if you're seeking a little more anonymity and privacy, she'd give you your space (and there are plenty of nooks and crannies on the property to escape to, including trails that take you past gardens and sky-high saguaro cacti). We are definitely coming back here again; the ranch is also perfect for a girls' getaway or chilled-out bachelorette party, you could commandeer the entire space and live it up -- Nancy frequently hosts parties and special events and would take care of every detail. This is a special place -- clean, comfortable, and rich in character thanks to the lady of the house (whom we now call a friend). I will add that this was my first air bnb experience -- I suspect it will be hard to top. Thanks Nancy for memories we will treasure always and we look forward to out next visit!
Nancy's place is a wonder. A ranch like setting on the outskirts of Tucson with many artistic touches. We actually ended up staying in the Crystal room rather than this room (see her other listing.) It has stone walls AND a beautiful chandelier, not to mention beautifully painted walls and a spa like shower. We slept beautifully and relaxed poolside, fireside, on the veranda, and on the deck just outside our room. Plenty of places to get some R&R. Nancy was very gracious and made a delicious breakfast that met our dietary needs perfectly. We enjoyed it so much we decided to stay a second night. Highly recommended.
A wonderful review! It was a pleasure to have you and again I so appreciate your kind words.
I am so happy you enjoyed your stay.. Spring is the most spectacular time here.. Soon, we should have 4 horses on the property for private rides.. I have wanted to have them for so long. They are not mine but all will be able to enjoy them! Best wishes and hope sometime to see you again... Thank you for your support. Best wishes. Nancy
