Waking up with the sound of ducks with a view on the canal in the heart of Amsterdam! Our modern houseboat offers comfortable, spacious accommodation for 4 people. Enjoy the canal view and romantic terrace centrally located next to the famous Heineken Brewery and Albert Cuyp market.

Our houseboat of 100m2 has a spacious living room with a large sofa, TV and CD / DVD player and film with UPC on demand. The open kitchen with modern equipment offers the possibility to prepare your own meal at home. The basic ingredients for cooking are available for you.

The 2 bedrooms have a comfortable double bed, both with a view on the canal. The master bedroom is air-conditioned. The bathroom has a luxurious massage shower / bath / whirlpool suitable for 2 people. Clean bedding and towels will be available for you.

The large windows along the waterside make the house very light and you can enjoy the sight of passing (canal) boats and enjoy life on the water in Amsterdam. The view on the water and the quiet Nicolaas Witsenkade in combination with the double windows make the house very quiet and peaceful from the inside, although located in a busy and exciting area of De Pijp in Amsterdam.

Experience the unique way of living on a houseboat in Amsterdam, with the comfort of all luxurious facilities.

MOVEMENT: The houseboat is very stable so there is minimal movement, no worries for motion sickness.
HEATING: The houseboat is well isolated and equiped with double glass windows + central heating, so warm and comfortable during colder days.
RESTAURANTS / BARS: At the houseboat we have provided a guide with our recommendations of restaurants, bars and places to go for lunch. If you have specific questions please let us know.

The complete houseboat including outside terrace area is available for you privately during your stay. 2 Adult bikes, BBQ and a cosy patio including heater is available on the terrace.

Breakfast is not included but available on request and will be charged separately. Several supermarkets are located within 100m and the Albert Cuyp market with big variety of fresh food is located within 300m distance.

Our houseboat is located in the heart of Amsterdam, in the popular area named 'De Pijp'. The Heineken Brewery and the famous Albert Cuyp market are very close. 'De Pijp' is popular among tourists and locals for its wide variety of bars, restaurants, shops and local market. From this location the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh museum, Stedelijk Museum, Concertgebouw, Vondelpark, Leidseplein and Rembrandtplein can be easily reached within a 15 minutes walk.

A good way to explore the city is by bike (2 bikes available). A different way to explore the beauty of the city centre is to take a canal cruise (almost next door). On a boat you will get the best view of the historical buildings of Amsterdam.

Public transport is available within 100m from the houseboat. Schiphol Airport takes 20 minutes by taxi and 45 minutes by train to Central Station and tram to arrive near the houseboat.

I am looking forward to welcome you in our home and offer you a great stay in Amsterdam!

  • It was perfect! Very nice place, very quiet and well located in Amsterdam. Anne Marieke was very nice (even if we did not meet her!).
Just one little thing, it was too bad that we could not let our bags until we had our train.

  • The houseboat was beautiful! The view was awesome. The host left several arrangements of live roses and flowers around the house. The bicycles were a blast. We were able to see the whole city by bike! WONDERFUL PLACE!

  • This is a wonderful place to stay in Amsterdam. It is located in a perfect spot in the city near many eating places and public transportation. Anne Maria is a wonderful host and very responsive to any question. I highly recommend staying in her slice of Heaven.

  • We unfortunately didn't get to meet Anne Marieke but LOVED staying at her houseboat. Check-in was easy and the place was very clean and ready for us. Coffee, tea, towels, cotton swabs, a map and other basics were all provided. She also has several guidebooks in English. The location is great, easy to get to by tram from the train station, and walking distance from the museums, canal boat rides, street markets, parks, and groceries. We have a toddler and Anne Marieke was able to provide a travel cot and child chair for meals. Our son loved watching the boats and birds out the windows. Anne Marieke left some notes with local recommendations, and one night we got some food from a nearby place she recommended and made a picnic on the Museumplein. It was heaven.

  • Anne was a great host and very responsive. She was not available to meet us with the key but had a friend meet us. He was very welcoming and then Anne followed up a couple of times to make sure that everything was going well. The houseboat/deck was amazing and in a perfect location. It was full of restaurants, markets and museums. So much was available within walking distance or the tram. We would definitely recommend this particular houseboat (and Anne) and visit again. It was a great way to experience Amsterdam!

  • Zeer fijn verblijf. Leuke boot, perfect voor de gelegenheid (met 3 personen naar een concert in Ziggodome). Goed gelegen ook, met De Pijp om de hoek. Een aanrader!

  • Unfortunately, we never had the opportunity to meet in person but Anne Marieke was extremely helpful in providing information, letting us leave our bags, etc. and she had a bottle of Prosecco waiting which was a nice surprise. The houseboat was fantastic and was more than we expected. The houseboat was easy to find with the directions provided and the location was great for getting around by either public transport or walking. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay again upon a return weekend to Amsterdam.

  • Anne Marieke houseboat is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! I can't even express how happy we fell that we chose this exact place to stay during our fist Amsterdam visit. Beautiful houseboat, great location and such a welcoming host! This place has everything you need, all the amenities you might want and beyond that. It's full of light, full of interesting decor, full of chic and an Amsterdam spirit.

Watching boats passing by while you enjoy your morning coffee in a comfy chair in "your" large living room is priceless!
And the terrace... Hanging out, talking, laughing, sharing photos of today's adventures in the city, siping a glass of wine... It's the best to end your day!

The second we left the place we couldn't stop regretting we'd spend too little time on this truly unique and such a cozy houseboat! It's worth coming back to Amsterdam again and again! And that's exactly what we're planning to do some time soon.

  • The experience of Anne-Marieke's houseboat is a real dream! First of all, really easy to reach from the Airport. The Anne-Marieke is a fresh and smily girl that proposes her own house in a perfect state: beautifull and dreamfull!!
Then starts the bicycle experience and the demonstration how Amsterdam manage this perfectly well!! Inside the house or outside on the "patio" we had 3 very nices days and nights! Many thanks and we will come again, that's sure!

  • Our stay at Anne Marieke's houseboat was extraordinaire! The houseboat itself is wonderful! Spacious, cosy, sunny, very well decorated, with spotless furniture, linen and towels. Location couldn't be better! Everything could be reached on foot: the museum place, Leidseplein, Rembrandtpleine, City center, Anne Frank's House, and Albert Cuyp is just around the corner! There are two big supermarkets at 1-2 minutes walk. The canal is marvelous, clean, peaceful, quiet, but not boring, since there are many different kinds of boats that pass by during the day! The utmost are the ducks and, specially the swan family! Anne Marieke gave us a nice and warm reception and was very kind to allow us an early check-in. She was also always attentive and easy to reach when we needed. We highly recommend! Thank you very much Anne!

I like to discover the beautiful places and remarkable cities our world has to offer. For me, the best way to do this, is to ask the locals about their favorite places, nice squares, special parks, trendy shops, bars and restaurants. This way you will directly find the best spots not discovered by the tourist guides yet ;-) I am an enthouiastic woman who likes to share the unique experience of living on the water in my beautiful houseboat with people from all over the world. Let's meet and I will share with you why I love to live in Amsterdam!
