Where you’ll be

Bethulie, Free State, South Africa

Bethulie is a small town situated in the southern Free State and is nestled between typical Free State "koppies” (small hills). It is a stone’s throw away from South Africa’s biggest dam, the iconic Gariep Dam. It has vast natural beauty, a rich history and a multitude of cultures and characters.

Bethulie is a great example of a quirky rural town and it is well worth spending a day walking the streets and speaking to locals.

Agriculture is the main activity in the area with much of the business in town supporting the farming community and associated industries.

I am a media professional and part time accommodation host. I enjoy running out of petrol on my classic Vespa and have a good collection of books, vinyl's and old trophies. I especially like finding a "bargain" to restore. I love South African culture, design and spaces. Travel is a treat and I'd like to spend more time in our Karoo home.
