It is a double room available downstairs with a bathroom adjacent to it. The bathroom includes a whirlpool bath, a nice way to relax after a busy day or a long flight. The room is nice and cozy in the winter.
On arrival at the airport you can ring for a cab - (phone number hidden) - it costs 10 eu. It's cheaper than the airport cabs, ring straight away as they come from Swords.
Visitors can check-in at any time - within reason - come directly from the Airport. You can enjoy tea/coffee, have a nice hot shower and a rest, Particularly after a long-haul flight just to re-charge the batteries !! We are not located in the airport flight path, so no noisy planes to keep you awake.
For larger bookings, please note that we also have an upstairs double bedroom (fits up to 3 people) with en-suite adjoining, which is only used by guests ( There is also a bathroom downstairs, which includes a whirlpool bath, lovely way to relax after a long flight.).
Just a few mins.walk to bus stop (3704) or 15 min walk (or bus) to Swords where there is lots of great restaurants, pubs etc., which also serve good food at reasonable prices, great shopping centre .- Pavillion Shopping Centre - where there are shops selling beautiful Irish gifts to take home, or you can get 'cheap n cheerful' souviners etc., also. ( (website hidden)- Pavillion Shopping Centre)
There is a very good bus service to Dublin city where there are so many tourist attractions...too numerous to mention The regular bus service takes 30-40 mins. to the city centre or an express service which takes 20 mins. The bus stop (3704) is 3 mins from my home.
We live a short distance from beautiful beaches & parks. 10 mins drive from here takes you into the countryside. The renowned NEWGRANGE Heritage Site is 30 mins drive from here. you can access it by taking the country roads with lovely countryside to enjoy. Get a taste of the 'real' Ireland.
Also, the Airport is 15 min bus journey with buses running frequently, or taxi service which is even quicker. I book cabs/taxis from my local office 10eu to Airport ,at any time of day or night. I occasionally drop people to the Airport, if they have small children or if people are experiencing difficultes re: car hire etc.
Also, there is parking space outside house for anyone wishing to avail of it. Anyone wishing to stay will be made feel very welcome, looking forward to meeting many new people in 2015
Relax & enjoy my home.
Monica was a very nice host. The house was also nice and really close to the airport.
Our stay at Monica's was pretty short, but very pleasant. We happened to meet her in the neighbourhood (which is really nice and quiet, by the way) and she took us with her in the car for the rest of the way. After we'd arrived, we had a really interesting conversation. She also gave us tips where to go in the evening and explained everything we needed to know. If you don't want to go to the city centre of Dublin, which is a bus ride of at least 35-40 minutes away, Swords is also not a bad place to go! ;-)
As we had to be at the airport very early the next day, she ordered a taxi to pick us up in the morning. It was only a 10 minute ride. Monica's house is nice, clean and cosy and she takes really good care of her guests. I highly recommend to stay with her!
A lovely house with a lovely host. We felt instintly at home and enjoyed our real Irish homestay by getting to know a lot of Irish inside information from our host Monica!
Monica was great. She was very responsive prior to arriving at her place. She was very welcoming and we had great conversation when we arrived. She made us feel at home and because we had to leave really early she left food out for us to make breakfast or take with us on the road. She also scheduled for a cab pick up in the morning, which was great because the can was there as soon as we needed to be out of the house and on our way to the airport. The house was also warm and comfortable. The room was perfect, but if you're looking for more of the city life this isn't where you want to be. She lives in a cozy quiet neighborhood. A great place to get away and relax with a fun local!
Monica was an amazing host. She looked great after us and made our stay as comftable as possible.
We enjoyed our stay in Monicas house. Monica is nice, verry kind and helpfull.

I am friendly & easy-going and enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds. When on holidays I enjoy meeting and chatting with the locals, I find that the best way to learn about a new place. I only started Hosting in March '13 but have met so many great & interesting people.
I will enjoy a quiet Christmas at home with my family this year. No plans as yet, for holidays. Hopefully a little Winter Sunshine may be on the cards for early in the New Year.
I love reading and my other pastime is gardening. I enjoy swimming to keep fit, unfortunately I do not go as often as I should !
I'm looking forward to meeting lots of new people in 2014.
