  • Michael and his wife Miriam were fantastic hosts! The listing is wonderfully cosy and perfect for couples to 'get away' from it all. We were greeted with fresh bread and enjoyed the wonderful open fire in the evening. I would highly recommend the Dalkey Hideaway to everyone!

  • Such a delightful place to stay. Clean, cosy, yummy fresh bread on arrival and the wood fire lit. Dalkey itself is a gorgeous seaside town. Finnegans became our local and Rugazzi makes great pizza :).
Thanks Michael for being such a friendly welcoming host

  • This was a great place to stay. Very clean and felt like home. Showed up and there was bread in the kitchen for us. You can't beat the experience!!!

  • This is a wonderful little getaway, everything was immaculate. Michael was very welcoming, and we particularly enjoyed the fresh bread, and wood burning stove. Great location for going into central Dublin and exploring the charming coast of Dalkey. We would definitely recommend, and would visit again.

  • We really enjoyed staying at Cobweb and it was perfect for us. It is brilliantly situated being close to Dalkey Village, the coast and Killiney Hill... and with the Dart station only 5 minutes away there is easy and cheap access to Dublin (20 mins), Much nicer and cheaper than staying a hotel and highly recommended!

  • Cobweb was an absolutely gorgeous place for my boyfriend and I to hole up in for a few days and experience Ireland away from the tourists of Temple Bar. It was easy to reach Dublin city centre with the DART (train), but we most enjoyed lazy days by the fire and enjoying Dalkey's numerous pubs. There are also some brilliant walks to be taken if you're feeling energetic - Michael gave us some perfect suggestions and directions to explore, so do ask his advice I'd you're interested. Michael and Miriam were exceedingly warm, helpful and all-round lovely hosts, and we would definitely recommend staying in their coastal hideaway.

  • Charming place, fully recommended.

  • we had wonderful time in Michael's place! When we arrived , we were welcomed very nicely by a going fire in the stove and a homemade bread. And then, Michael showed us the apartment and back yard. Also, michael and his wife booked a fantastic restaurant for us, although i changed the date in the mid-night. The place is quite near to the main street and the sea, so it is convenient to have a nice walk by the sea, or do some shopping if you would like to make your own dinner like us. it was brilliant to spend the weekend or short break there. We would love to come back sometime! It was such a lovely trip.

  • It was a great experience to stay at Michael & Miriam's Cobweb in Dalkey. This is such a lovely house to live life outside Dublin and and enjoy wonderful landscapes at walking distance. The place is exactly as shown in the pictures and the hosts are really welcoming: they also invited us for some wine and food that we appreciated a lot! At our arrival, we got help with our luggage from Michael who drove us from the bus station to home, where a beautifully decorated apartment was waiting for us together with a fresh and healthy Irish bread. The place is located at a walking distance from all places you might need (supermarket and shops, pubs and restaurants, dart station, bus station ...) so you do not need a car to reach home, but we had heavy luggages : )

Michael showed us the whole apartment and explained us everything we needed for our stay. The weather was quite cold some of the days we stayed in Dalkey, but we were fine at our place with a warm fire and the electric heater provided. The place is very relaxing with its living room with sofa where you can sit and drink your tea while watching at the fire. There is a a very well equipped kitchen and the bathroom has a nice and powerful shower. The bed was comfortable and the place was clean. We had our bed linen and towels changed weekly and Michael always provided us with bags of wood for the fire.

We loved this place and loved Dalkey. We are glad we found it and had the opportunity to live this experience. Thank you Michael and Miriam for being such kind hosts : )
