It's a quiet neighbourhood, my neighbours like it like that!
Depending on your footware: please take of shoes that might make noice on a hard wooden floor ;)
Also take care of fire: don't leave anything cooking when you're not at home, don't put anything on the heaters to dry and don't smoke in bed, on the couch, or any other place in my non-smoking apartment!
Hester was very friendly and helpful and her apartment was very light and airy and a lovely space to hang out in. There are two balconies (front and back) to sit out on if it's sunny, a great sound system and tv/dvd player. It's easy to find, and close to the centre of amsterdam but a bit quieter than staying right in the centre. We had a great time staying here and would definitely recommend!
Our stay at Hester's was fantastic. She was our first Air B n B experience to sit down with us upon arrival and provide us with a very detailed list of suggestions covering all aspects of Dutch life!
My girlfriend and I spent 5 days at Hester's gorgeous apartment ( it's so much bigger than it looks in the pics) the location is very central and the balcony is great in the sun! Hester couldn't have been more helpful, asking us whether there was anything in particular we wanted to see or do and then going in to great detail of all the places we might like on a map which saved so much time. The apartment is great value for money and we'll definitely be staying here again when we return next!
We arrive very late on the first night, but Hester was so kind to wait for us and explain every details to us. She made us felt really welcome. And she was so kind to offer help when we need to print something on the next day.
We love the location of the flat. Quiet residential area, right next to museum quarter. Short tram ride to the more busy dam square area.
It is not modern setting, toilet and shower room is a bit old. But we love the balcony and good space of the living room with high ceiling. We enjoyed our breakfast at the balcony on a sunny day which was really nice.
Overall we enjoyed our stay a lot and will stay there again when we visit Amsterdam in the future. Thanks Hester!
Hester ist eine wundervolle Gastgeberin mit einem tollen Apartment.
Sie erzaehlte uns viel ueber Stadt, Umgebung und ihre persoenlichen Lieblingsspots. Ueber jegliche Erwartungen hinaus geschossen!
Hester is a wonderful hostess!) She is a very friendly and kind person!) The apartment completely corresponds with the photos on the web site. When I arrived Hester provide me with all necessary information (how to use the apartment, where is the nearest shops, interesting places to see, restaurants etc.), she gladly answered all my questions and gave me maps and books about Amsterdam. All that information was really very helpful to me. The apartment situated near the Museumplein - it`s a wonderful place! All museums are 5 minutes from you. The center of the city is also very close, I was walking even without using a tram. Also there is a wonderful way to get from the airport to the apartment and from the apartment to the airport - by bus 197 (it will take you only 30 minutes). The bus station is in 2 minutes from the apartment. I really recomend this place, my trip was very nice! Thank you Hester!)
