Most affordable cabin for the space, and quite possibly the cutest! Located between Lake Gregory and Lake Arrowhead! Peaceful and quiet, enjoy your coffee or wine sitting on the deck looking out at the forest and hearing the birds sing! We have put a lot of TLC into the cabin to make it comfortable and cozy. We've upgraded the deck and stairs as well. PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE LISTING.
Imagine waking up to the sound of birds chirping, the mountain air, and fresh coffee enjoyed on the back deck where you bask amongst the towering pines and cedars sprawling out in the forest in front of you.
Our 3 bedroom, 2 bath, fully equipped cabin in Twin Peaks, just 4 miles from Lake Arrowhead, will make you feel right at home. Entering from our private driveway you will find yourself in the open plan living room and kitchen area. A long breakfast bar, dining table and large kitchen accomodate home cooking quite nicely! The living room features a 42" flat screen TV with cable and a DVD player and plenty of seating and a wood burning fireplace. Down the hall you will find the upstairs master bedroom, with a queen bed decorated in a mountain theme and tranquil forest views. Across the hall is the Bunk Room, with two sets of bunk beds for up to 4 kids or adults. The bunk room has a TV with DVD players (not cable) if you want to get away from the group or have the kids watch a movie in their own room. The Bunk Room also has a game table where you can play checkers, chess, backgammon or cards (poker chips included!). The upstairs level also has a full bathroom with shower (no tub).
Downstairs you will find a full bathroom, with tub, and the downstairs master with a queen bed, forest views and a private deck. Also downstairs is the laundry room with a full sized washer and dryer.
We do NOT have air conditioning. It can get warm up here in the summer and we have ceiling fans in the two queen bedrooms and the living room. We also have a couple of desk fans in the closets.
The cabin has wireless internet, local phone service, lots of DVDs (G through R) lots of board games, cards, books and even some coloring books for the little ones. Our remote controlled heating system will ensure that even if you choose a winter weekend getaway, the cabin will be warm and toasty upon your arrival.
If you are coming with kids, please note that the stairs to the downstairs area are pretty steep. We have baby gates in the bunk room closet. Also the stairs at the entry and the back deck are not child friendly, do not let your children on them when you are not present. If you have dogs, we don't have a fenced in yard. Also, coyotes are in the area, even during the day. Do not let your dogs outside off leash.
Parking: We have two private spots for two cars...the driveway down to the house from the street is VERY steep and makes some folks nervous. The best bet is to back down the driveway, then pull into the spot in front of our garage, or the dirt parking pad between the two houses. If you have a small to mid sized car, you can drive down forward, then turn around in the dirt area, but it is tight. If either or both spots are blocked (they shouldn't be and it's rare) you can ask the heighbors to move their cars). Other parking is restricted to street parking. You can park in front of the fire hydrant at the top of the driveway, you will not get a ticket as long as you don't block it. Do not park on any of the parking decks they are privately owned by our neighbors.
Interaction with guests
Because we have a key pad entry, you never have to worry about arriving before or after a meeting time, you can take your time and arrive any time after our agreed upon check in time. I am always available by phone so please let me know if everything is not working properly or if you have any questions. If there are any problems, my mom, housekeeper and handyman are all nearby and can come over in a heartbeat, but unless you need us, we will let you be to enjoy your mountain stay!
Other things to note
We have games, DVDs, a book library and snow saucers and a snow shovel available for your use while you are here! We stock toilet paper and paper towels sufficient for a weekend stay. If you are staying longer or have a larger group, you will need to bring or buy some.
You must take your trash with you when you go as we do not have trash service, including any pet waste. We will provide you with a list of Clean Mountain drop off sites that you can dispose of your trash before driving home. There is absolutely no smoking in the house and if you smoke outside you MUST extinguish your cigarettes in water and then in the trash, due to the high risk of forest fires. Please bring your own firewood. If you use our firewood, please replace it, we prefer you bring your own. The cleaning fee of $75 covers basic cleaning, any excess trash or mess will be deducted from the $200 refundable security deposit. Any damaged items will be deducted from the Security Deposit. We do allow pets WITH PRIOR NOTICE and a $25 fee. PLEASE SEND AN INQUIRY, NOT A RESERVATION REQUEST, IF YOU HAVE A PET SO THE FEE CAN BE ADDED. Pets are not permitted on any furniture. Do not allow pets outside unleashed, as there are coyotes in the area. Please bring a dog bed for them and a crate if you need to leave them in the cabin when you are not there. Please clean up any pet waste and dispose of it off the premises. If there are any pet stains on any carpets, dog hair or stains on the furniture, or pet waste left around the house an additional fee will be deducted from your security deposit for cleaning.

Hello and thanks for checking out my listings! I've been an Airbnb host for four years, at both my cabin in Lake Arrowhead California (about 2 hours from LA) and at my home in Manhattan Beach, CA, where I live full time, and have a guest cottage. I am in commercial real estate and work from home, and I am also very involved in dog rescue. I hope I have the opportunity to welcome you to the beach or mountains very soon!
