This cutest attic apartment is next to everything you need to see in Rome, very strategic for all sightseeing: 10 minute-walk away from Saint Peter and the Vatican, same from Piazza Navona, 15 from the Spanish steps. The building has an elevator and is very easy to access.
The apartment is about 60sm (645sf) with a terrace of about 30sm (322sf). It has two bedrooms and it can accomodate 4 people: one regular double bed, one regular single bed, the other single bed is 120cm wide, bigger than a single but smaller than a queen, therefore a fifth person could be tightly accomodated upon request. One eat-in kitchen and one bathroom with shower in the bathtub.
The terrace access is from the main bedroom and the view on the Villa Borghese park and Villa Medici, on Piazza Cavour and the Palazzaccio (Supreme Court) is just amazing.
We live next to the apartment (Miki) and one floor down (Rosa), so we're there for any support.
There's all kinds of restaurants, groceries, pharmacies. A supermarket is just one block away.
You probably won't need to use any public transportation, because everything is at walking distance, but buses and subway are close by anyhow.
The elevator has been renovated but needs to be treated with care. Always be sure to close the two little doors inside and the bigger metal one. Wait for it to stop - it slows down, then stops - then open the doors.
Enjoy Rome from its streets and up closer to the sky sipping a glass of wine at sunset from the terrace!
The reservation was canceled 85 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
My group of four had a very nice stay over New Years at Miki's apartment! He was a great host, responded to my messages immediately and was extremely accommodating. The big terrace overlooking Piazza Cavour is awesome! I would definitely recommend the apartment :)
Me and my friend met Miki. He's a very nice man) He showed us the apartment, told about the surrounding shops. Offered us information about good restaurants, but we did not need this information, because we are not the first time in Rome. Apartment to our arrival was absolutely clean. It is very ascetic conditions, a minimum of furniture and appliances, but it has an amazing view from the large terrace! This apartment is perfect for a short stay in this wonderful city) Grazie Miki&Rosa!
Miki's apartman was perfect! We loved it. We spent a long weekend in Rome. Every sight was in walking distance. The flat was big and clear. We had everything we needed, sheets, towel, beautiful blankets:-). The terrace is huge, it's nice to sit out in the evening. Everything is the way we saw it on the photos before. The kitchen is not for big cooking parties, but we did not miss anything, no need for special kitchen for a short stay.
Miki was really flexible, we had to change our flight back one day before arrival, he helped us with leaving our luggages in his apartment (was a big help). We could always reach him when we had questions, he helped us with practical information (what where how..). He answered always in time for mails. Thank you again, we had a great great time!!!
Miki was an amazing host; he was welcoming as soon as we arrived and set us up with a perfect apartment as well as inviting us to a party at his and out into Rome. We really got an experience of Rome that most tourists don't (we met and became friends with local Romans).
The apartment was clean, perfectly located and the terrace is truly superb - Miki also gave us a brilliant list of things to do in the city and was always available if we were lost or in need of something to do. The place is walking distance to practically everything, particularly the Vatican, so we missed nothing during our short stay.
I will definitely go back to Rome and I this will be the first place I look to stay.
The Terrace - 5*
The Location - 5*
The Host - 5*
The terrace is what makes this apartment perfect. After a whole day of walking, sightseeing, shopping etc. you can just take a shower and spend the rest of the evening enjoying a glass of wine on the terrace - with a spectacular view over Piazza Cavour, Palace of Justice just next door, all beautifully lit.
Another upside of the place is it's location - close to the Tiber and Trastevere, close to St. Peters and the Vatican, close to Piazza Navona and generally to all the major "must-see" spots in Rome (by the way - they all are just around the corner from one another :)
The host - MIKI - is a wonderful person, very smiley, very helpful, and all the tips he provided regarding where to / what to... (eat, drink, see, go etc.) hit the jackpot!
This is the perfect spot when visiting Rome and this will be my No. 1 choice for accomodation in Rome in the future.
We loved everything about staying at Rosa and Miki's place!
First of all, Miki is a very pleasant host. Quick and clear in his communication beforehand and an easy going guy. He was very flexible when we wished to stay a couple of hours longer in the appartment on our departure date, which we really appreciated (thanks Miki!).
The location of the apartment is excellent: close to various touristic sites, there is a supermarket around the corner, restaurants and all types of public transport are within minutes walking distance.
The apartment itself was great as well. We particularly LOVED the spacious roof terrace, where we had breakfast in the sun every morning and looked out on the gorgeous Piazza Cavour, with its palm trees and beautiful buildings. We had sun from 8AM-5PM, it was hard to get into town with such a lovely 'home' to stay in :)
The house was clean and tidy, and a bit basic in therms of furniture, but not too empty. The kitchen has a small fridge and two gas stoves. There are 2 bedrooms with a double bed in one, and a 2 single beds in the other room. One minor thing is that I would have loved to have a closet/shelve to put my clothes/personal belongings in, but Rosa and Miki are planning to add that to the rooms anyways. It wasn't too disturbing as there is a clothing rack in the room. The bathroom was nice too, with a bath and a shower.
By the way, the walls of the kithcen as well as the bedroom and the roof attic are REALLY nicely decorated, we loved it :)
Altogether, we had a great stay in Rosa and Miki's apartment and would definitely stay here again. in fact, we're missing it already :)
Thanks Rosa and Miki, for making our stay in Rome such a pleasant experience!
My 3 year old and I had a very pleasant stay at Miki&Rosa's.
The flat is very spacious & comfortable. I was impressed by the cleanliness and the comfortable bed in the main bedroom. From the main bedroom, the terrace can be accessed, with a splendid view on the palace of justice. The terrace is large, some areas in the shade with a deck chair and a table (ideal for breakfast!).
As it's on the top floor, the flat is quiet, no noise from the street, only a bit of noise from the lift in the morning.
Miki gave us plenty of information concerning where to eat or shop, which busses to take to town or to/from the airport, all good advice which I followed literally. The location is perfect, a few blocks from Castel sant'angelo , the Tiber and piazza Navona.
I would have liked a few more hangers or pegs in the bathroom for towels, but these are small details that can be solved quickly.
I recommend this flat for 2 couples or for families, as the second bedroom is far enough from the rest of the flat, so that the kids can sleep quietly (Miki even provided a crib with sheets) while the adults have a glass of wine on the terrace!
A great top floor flat with a lovely terrace overlooking Piazza Cavour. The flat was immaculately clean and much larger than we had expected with good sized rooms and high ceilings. The kitchen is minimal but with all the basics to make a few quick meals and make hot drinks which is all we required.Location wise this is a great spot with local restaurants around the square and adjoining streets. We enjoyed a good meal at Cesare nearby. Its only 15-20 mins walk to Spanish steps, Vatican or the heart of the old town and we walked to all the main sites during our stay. There are a number of ways to get here from the airport but the SitBus airport shuttle drops you literally just around the corner if you get off at the Via Crescenzio stop which is the first of the two stops.
Wifi is available and can be picked up in most of the front rooms and terrace and although the lift is small and looks a bit dated was smooth and worked well. The flat was also very quiet with no noise from any neighbours, a re;axing place to get to after the bustle of the streets. There is a DeSpar supermarket 2 minutes away which stocked most things including soya milk.
Miki was a great host and made us feel at home immediately as well as providing lots o local information. As our first Airbnb booking it was good to deal with someone who had experience and was extremely prompt, polite and informative with all our communications and made it all work smoothly.
This is certainly a flat we would consider booking again and would recommend to others. Miki is a great host and the Terrace is a massive bonus both to sit out on and also to use as a living room to enjoy the (email hidden)'s partially covered so you can avoid too much sun if very hot or if unlucky the rain.
