Take in the panoramic city views from the comfort of your couch, or step onto the deck for fresh air. Either way, your view stretches from the TransAmerica Pyramid to the Bay Bridge and the South Bay waters.
Just steps to Castro & market! (Perfect location for Halloween in the Castro)
We are in an area that doesn't suffer from the usual fog that can plague San Francisco. And a very short walk to the Castro Theater, the F-Market Streetcars, and underground Muni. My 2nd floor apartment is on a quiet and beautiful block of Castro Street. Plus, it has views of the SF bay, AT&T Park, and the Oakland hills from large picture windows in the living room and bedroom.
The bedroom is in the back of the apartment, so it's quiet and dark and great for sleeping.
The kitchen has it's original 1950's charm. The bathroom is new, recently renovated.
Some of the amenities of our home include:
- California King bed in master
- Two individual beds in living room (convertible chairs)
- Small deck with panoramic views (2 people max)
- Living Room with beautiful views of the City
- Huge shower with glass walls (no tub)
- 6 sets of new clean towels
- 2 sets of new clean sheets per bed
- apartment is professionally cleaned for your visit
- Lots of natural light
- New Smart TV (stream your Netflix & Pandora)
- Free wireless internet access
- Coffee maker
- Iron & Ironing Board
- Hair Dryer
- Free laundry for you in the building
- Ample street parking
- City views from bedroom
- Blackout shades in bedroom
- Just a block and a half to the Castro Muni and street cars
- One block to Corona Heights park (Local secret! Three tennis courts, hiking trails, truly amazing panoramic views, and the Randall Museum)
- Walk score of 100; tons of great restaurants, shops, and grocery stores close by (for example, you can walk to the Valencia Corridor, SF's newest "Restaurant Row" with many of the newest and hippest restaurants & bars in the city).
Easy walking to the Mission, Haight Ashbury, Lower Haight, Duboce Park, and more. The neighborhood is amazing. Unlimited restaurants, bars, and retail shops just steps away. This place really is special.
Plenty of public transportation to discover the city in all directions.
* Castro Station MUNI train stop 2 short blocks away (MUNI lines K, L, M, S, T)
* Traditional Streetcar stop 2 blocks away (MUNI line F, runs along Market Street and goes all the way to Fisherman's Wharf and/or Ferry Building!)
* Buses stop at the front door to our building
What Else You Get
With the place you'll have a clean duvet and clean sheets, fresh towels, and a welcome pack with some surprises. I use a short term rental management service called Airenvy who will professionally clean and prepare the place for you.
There is a cleaning fee of $79 for each booking, and if desired you may schedule additional cleanings during your stay. No pets and please no smoking :-)
Neighborhood: The Castro
You'll be staying at a Pillow Homes approved property, and guests are encouraged to follow Pillow rules and terms.
The apartment is just as pictured and conveniently located to shops and public transportation. It was easy to get in to the apartment. The view from the living room is indeed spectacular.
Unfortunately though, during the last night of our stay (a Saturday night), the upstairs neighbors had a loud party that went all night long. The party was going when we got home around 10 p.m., the party left for the bar around 11 p.m., and then the party continued when they got home from the bar around 3 a.m. The party was still going when we left for the airport at 6:30 a.m. They were playing loud music and with the wood floors I could hear everything and was up most of the night. This was the night before the Bay to Breakers, so that may have been the cause for the party. The other 2 nights we stayed were quiet. Other than that, the apartment was nice and true to the pictures, but I would not stay here again due to the noise we experienced the last night of our stay.
Apartment was great, easy to get to, no problems getting in. There were a few basic pantry items which was nice to see. The apartment has amazing views and is very well located for access to the Castro and Lower Haight. We had no problems street parking on adjacent streets.
The bed was very comfortable. We had some trouble with getting the cable to work, the Pillow support service were very prompt and helpful, though we decided to skip the repairs, need a break from TV anyways :)
Rob checked to make sure we arrived with no trouble which was nice. For the rate, the location and view, this place is totally worth it. We would stay again and will recommend to our friends. Thanks for a great experience!
It was easy to get into the apartment thanks to the written instructions, though it lacked a little bit of a human presence.
Very good location in Castro, close to all transportation, stores and restaurants. Fantastic view on the city as shown on the pictures.
the apartment was quiet , clear and sunny.
But we encountered a lot of problems due to the bad maintainance by Pillow Team who was our only contact. We thought we were in contact with Rob and after a few mails we understood that it was Pillow team who was answering our emails.
upon our arrival we found out that the cleaning has been approximate, the toilet seat was loose, there was only one spare toilet paper roll, no face or hand towel, no garbage plastic bags, no trashcan in the bathroom, no kettle for boiling water, 2 coffee spoons...breadcrumbs and more under the table and between the dining table slats, kitchen floor sticky, no remote control or cable for the TV, no blanket for the folding chair in the living-room and no curtains or shades in the living-room(exposed to sunrise) where our son was suppose to sleep. and in fact he didn't sleep in the apartment at all.
After a few exchanges by mail with somebody we thought was Rob (but in fact Pillow Team) and after three days, somebody came to fix part of the problems we had, and that was it. We understood that nothing more would be done. We got in touch with Airbnb by phone to let them know how much we were dissatisfied and disappointed and wasting time writing mails, answering mails and phone calls...
Ultimately we asked Rob for a partial refund, he didn't reply. Then we got in touch with Airbnb to help us to solve this issue, and we were successful enough to be refunded of what we asked.
Place was accurate to pictures and descriptions. Kitchen usable and had equipment to do some basic cooking. Wi-fi worked well, and bathroom was quite nice (recently re-modeled).
Since entry/exit is based on keycodes, it was a snap to check in—not trying to find some dude a donut shop with the keys.
Location is great and the view is spectacular. Upstairs neighbors party on the weekends, so bring earplugs if you have trouble sleeping in a noisy city environment.
We had a lovely stay! The apartment was clean and very spacious. The location was great and close to public transit and some of the best neighbourhoods in the city! We loved our morning hike up to corona heights park. Stunning views! Would definitely stay again on our next visit, thanks!
