We fell in love with this sweet little community on the bay side in Key Largo that is on a short canal that leads directly into the bay. There is a nature preserve nearby and the beautiful mangroves and the southern Everglades are right there. There are many birds in the area and to hear the crickets at night while watching the sunset from your own porch spells serenity.

You are a short 20-30 minute drive to historic Homestead, Redlands Trail, alligator farm, Fruit & Spice park, Orchid botanical garden, & South Miami.
We are a 2 hour drive to Key West. There is a Harley bike rental a mile from the house. It is a lot of fun to motorcycle to Key West for the day.
Although Miami airport is closer, Ft. Lauderdale Airport is easier.
You can take public transportation, the Keys Shuttle, from the airports to within 4 short blocks of our property.
HOW TO BOOK:
Please look at the house rules section for clarification of all rental fees etc. The rental rate is different depending on the time and does not include Florida tax/cleaning.

When you click on the button to reserve one of our places, Airbnb will collect the rental fee, their fee and will hold $300 for security/damage deposit. Our phone numbers and emails are at that time exchanged as well.
We then can go over in detail our place, our pricing and if it is the best fit for both of us! Renter agreement addendum, information, payment of Tax and cleaning is handled after booking and outside of Airbnb system. Upon checkout, with our place intact, the deposit is refunded either immediately or within 10 days.

The home is on a 45' x 100' property, it is fenced in, (except at the dock edge) so good for doggies. There are two bikes and a tandem kayak, (can be used for one, two or three persons).
Interaction with Guests
All our guests are welcomed to visit our property which is a couple miles South. Here there is the second direct access to the Southern Everglades and our manatee canal.
This community is quiet, safe, nice walking area, short distance to Johnson Dagny Botanical Park, grocery is a short distance away; kayaking is great- fun to kayak over to the restaurant, bar and beach; mangrove creeks;
best to have a car for this property;

Although on vacation, do your best to maintain the home.
We very much appreciate our vacationers taking good care while staying at our home: being energy conscious and being gentle on our environment.
When air conditioning is on, the doors and windows must be closed. If not, the AC can freeze up and you will not have AC.
Please do not allow the refrigerator door to be left open as this too will freeze up and you will not have a refrigerator for two days.
For our Key Largo Florida places, being energy conscious and being gentle on our environment and manatees, is especially important. For example, only a few sheets of single ply toilet paper in the toilets, and other common sense care.

Very clean lot right on the canal with a quirky trailer that would appeal to young travelers more than older ones. Quiet area close to store and state park. Lovely landscaping which made lounging outside a pleasure. Owner met us on arrival and explained all details, then left us to enjoy a quiet relaxing vacation with no further hassle.
This property is located in Sexton Cove, a quiet, well-settled, well-maintained and obviously stable community with a variety of homes ranging from pre-fabs (like the subject property) to newer homes. It appears to have attracted a healthy mix of families with children and retirees. It is located convenient to groceries, pharmacies, the wonderful state coral reef park and beaches, etc. We had no reason whatever for concern for personal safety here. This property is located on a canal, with a nice-sized screened-in porch off the main bedroom and facing the canal (as pictured). It is suitably furnished for the guest who plans to be on the go, although some amenities for the longer-staying guest (we were there for two weeks) -- such as an ironing board, a few more bath linens and an extra change of bedding and an extra quilt for cooler nights --would have been appreciated. So too would have been more accessible outdoor lighting (It's very dark there at night).
The property manager was a lovely, very competent lady who was helpful not only when we first arrived, but who remained available to us via text/phone and who was unfailingly patient and helpful in answering our questions about the area and its amenities.
Our host were flexible and welcoming. We enjoyed the stay!
This was exactly what my husband and I were looking for. We wanted a nice, comfortable place where we could relax from crowds. This place was perfect. We also wanted the convenience of having a kitchen to make breakfasts and lunches. The outdoor areas, like the deck off of the bedroom and the deck along the canal, were our favorites. Owner came over to fix Internet issue within a half hour of our sending out SOS signal.
This was a great getaway experience for me and my two young adult sons. We loved the fact that it felt like we were living in Key Largo, not just staying in a room, and took advantage of all that the rental afforded, bicycles, a kayak, the ability to enjoy some meals at our own leisure, etc.
You have to consider the whole package, though, as this trailer may not be the type accommodation you are expecting. Little issues have already been addressed by the owner, but it felt like the whole property needed an owner inspection. Things like the privacy curtain falling off in the bedroom, no pillows for the bunk beds when we arrived, only two bowls in the kitchen - just felt like a bit more attention needed to be paid to overall condition. Also, even though we checked ahead of time, the dvd player did not work, which frustrated our plan for sharing some classic comedy movies we brought with us - a big deal? no, but again, a bit frustrating.
Would we stay again? YES. The owner immediately responded to questions and suggestions, the caretaker was fantastic, and we loved the location and the "feel" of being in the neighborhood. If you're looking for a laid-back Keys experience, then you will love this. Cheers.
The trailer was just as advertised. The porch was great---we ate breakfast there each morning and then hit the road for various activities. We also enjoyed sitting on the deck one lazy afternoon. The hosts Chanoch and Giana were very friendly and easy to work with and accessible. Overall, this was a very positive experience.
Very nice place. There's double-decker kids bed in the smaller bedroom, and our 2 boys were happy to take advantage of it.
The house has deck with berths, beach chairs, outdoor grill and just everything you need to relax when kids are already (website hidden) is small with but has HDMI input which was good for us.
Ceilings could be a little higher and if you're above 6'3" - no high jumps.
Overall, nice place with great amenities.

HI! When I am not running my business, I am a projects guy- I love fixing up my vacation home rentals in Key Largo Florida.
The renovation team consists of us- fun-loving couple that are passionate about life, music, art, gardens and our wonderful black lab that travels everywhere with Giana.
We have hosted guests from all over the world: in our Brooklyn, NY home since 1992 and now in Key Largo Florida.
We love kayaking & fishing all through the waters of Key Largo and Jamaica Bay in Brooklyn, biking along the bike paths of Key Largo, or Prospect Park, Brooklyn, snorkeling at John Pennecamp State Park.
We love traveling, and with that comes learning languages - we speak a little German and Italian and speak Hebrew fluently.
We are involved in many projects where we can spread compassion and generate good. They tend to mesh and outgrow from our interests and projects.
We are involved in the Arts- both creating and supporting. I play accordian and Giana, the piano. Our movie tastes range from Casablanca to Under the Tuscan Sun- then again, they are both love stories:) We both love to cook, especially with friend and family.
What's it like having us as hosts? First, we do this because we enjoy it- meeting new people, making people happy and sharing the great things our places have to share.
We are flexible to what you need in your stay with us- help with shows, a desk for your room, hanging out with us or wanting your privacy.
Our places have plenty of space, communal and private, porches, gardens, indoor kitchens and outdoor BBQs.
Common occurrences: will meet you at the door, hot coffee, ice water or beer/wine to share; take you on boat or kayak tours of our beautiful bay;
We both enjoy meeting new people and helping with making our places a good retreat. Giana had worked in the health care field and now her 'patients' are renovating our places and decorating! We are always doing something- gardening, new colors, adding a new kitchen tool. So if there is something you need, or would like, just ask-- it may be in our basement waiting to be used:)
We are conscientious about keeping our places clean, bug free; We expect our guests to be respectful of our home.
