Nearby Belmont is home to some of the cities most popular and delicious restaurants: MAS, The Local & Tavola. For casual dining you have The Belmont BBQ, Beer Run, Black Market Moto Saloon, and La Taza Coffee House. Many of Virginia's world renowned wineries are all an easy day trip: Keswick Vineyards, King Family, Barboursville, Pippin Winery, Jefferson Vineyard, Trump Winery to name just a few. Charlottesville is home to three past President's Virginia homes: Monticello (Jefferson's), Montpelier (Madison's) & Ashlawn-Highland (Monroe's). Furnished in charming vintage style it is a wonderful alternative to any local hotel. It has a comfortable living room and dining area, washer and dryer, wide screen TV, and free wireless Internet. • Jessica is a total sweetheart and her home was a perfect little place to rest our heads. Many thanks to her for making our stay comfortable and easy!

  • Jessica's place was great. It's quiet, clean, and more spacious than it looks in the pictures. The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils/cookware/even a blender if you choose to cook. It's a less than 10-minute walk from the downtown pedestrian mall which has an incredible array of great bars, restaurants, coffee/tea shops, independent bookstores (I lost track at 5), movie theaters and music venues. It's also only a 25-minute leisurely stroll from the Amtrak station. I didn't get to meet her, but she called me back almost immediately to very helpfully to answer the one question I had.

Also, she incredibly nicely left a bowl of fruit, a bowl of snacks, and some essentials: milk, a 1/2 dozen eggs, olive oil and butter!

  • Had a lovely long weekend in Charlottesville and stayed in this nice apartment. We were very comfortable and close to the downtown mall. Nicely furnished with everything you would need and we would recommend it to friends. It's a little treacherous due to lack of sidewalk and sunken ground at the curbing..

  • We contacted her on short notice and she was very accommodating. The place is very cute, well cared for and comfortable. The welcome fruit and snacks were appreciated. If you have any trouble with walking on uneven surfaces, the sidewalk is non-existent in front. But once past that, all is good. After being out all day it was a lovely place to come 'home' to. If you want to listen to music, bring your radio. I would recommend this to friends and I also would not hesitate to stay there again.

  • We came for a football game and the apartment was great. Jessica kept in touch and her place was very nice and not too far from the night life area.
