We had a great time in Venice. Massimo was a great host, met us at the apartment and made recommendations. Would stay there again!
Massimo is one of the nicest people we have ever met through airbnb. he was very good communicating before and during our trip, and he personally picked us up and dropped us off at the train station in his boat (additional charge, but worth it since the public transportation in Venice is already quite expensive). it was also helpful to have him escort us to our accommodation; it really made orienting ourselves to the city much easier. he recommended some great places for us to visit in the neighborhood. the flat was in a beautiful old building, huge, and at the back of a courtyard, so very quiet. the one drawback to the flat was it had very little natural light so was quite dark and a bit musty. however, we loved Massimo, so we would definitely have him host us again when we return.
Massimo is an excellent host. The flat is ok - quite large and comfy beds, bit needs a good clean, and is a bit dark - but you don't want to spend too much times indoors on a trip to Venice! The flat is in a good location with all that you need for your stay. Massimo was very accommodating and picked us up and dropped us off at the train station, and being local could recommend places to go and places to eat that were gluten free - even dropped us off at a restaurant the night we arrived with hungry kids!
Massimo was great! We arrived earlier than expected and he made every effort to get the flat ready in time for us. He also greatly helped guide us to where the apartment was since Venice is such a maze.
The flat itself was very spacious and served our purposes perfectly. It was very close to St Marc's square and everything you'd want to see. There was a slight smell of mold in the air, but that might have just been the smell of the city.
When we left, Massimo was kind enough to transport us to the airport for the same price and much more quickly than public transport.
The apartment was exactly what we needed for our stay in Venice. Massimo was very accommodating for our larger group (8) and brought extra beds for us to use. All in all great experience.
Great location, lovely courtyard, eclectic antiques and old Venetian glass with one window opening onto a canal. Overtones of Jeremy Fisher.
Getting lost is the "fun" part of being in Venice, but not when you're trying to find the apartment you're staying in. Our internet wasn't working on our phone and we didn't have a map, so we were asking around for help when I finally just decided to call Massimo for help. He was very helpful and patient helping my friend and I get to the apartment that morning. He talked us through getting there until I arrived at the door! As for the apartment, it was clean, well set up and in a great area in Venezia. I highly recommend staying in this apartment if you are 2-4 people in a group. It was very quiet at night in the neighborhood! In the area there are some places to grab food that aren't ridiculously priced if you're just looking for something easy. You can sit right on the canals and enjoy some food and wine- that's what Venice is all about! Massimo was very helpful with directions in the area and in the center- I will definitely consider going back sometime to one of his great apartments!
We enjoyed our stay at Venice in Massimo's apartment. The apartment is centrally located and very convenient to go to any place in Venice. It is very well located and Massimo is a very helpful and wonderful person. He made our stay very pleasant and also helped us reach the train station in time. I would recommend this place to all my friends.
Massimo was very helpful. We picked up his boat. The communication was perfect. The apartment is in the heart of Venice.
Massimo is a nice guy. He pick up us at the train station with his boat.
The apartment is a little different of what you expect.
It's ok to stay there for couple nights.
