Large and quiet studio apartment in the center of San Francisco in popular area, NOPA. Walking distance to the cities best restaurants, local shopping, & several bus lines. A short walk to Alamo Square Park, the Painted Ladies and Golden Gate Park.

The Space

This is a large, 2nd floor studio (no elevator) with dine in kitchen, separate living and sleeping areas, 2 walk-in closets and a large bathroom.

Large bay windows provide great morning light. Enjoy a 52" flatscreen TV, High speed wireless internet, cable television, and laptop computer hookups to stream your Netflix or Hulu.

Guest Access

There is a shared backyard that is very quiet and peaceful. Also a shared laundry room (coin operated) can be found on the first floor of the building.

Interaction with Guests

Guests have sole access to the entire apartment during their stay.

The Neighborhood

NOPA, which stands for North of Panhandle, is a very trendy up-and-coming neighborhood. There is a good mix between young professionals, trendy hipsters, and families.

The 2 square blocks surrounding the apartment are very quiet, tree-lined streets. With 2 coffee shops, an organic and local New Mexican restaurant (Green Chile Kitchen) and 2 dessert places within 1 block.

Walk just 2 blocks to Divisadero Street and find a plethora of dining, drinking, and shopping options. Divisadero is home to a few of the cities best restaurants, including NOPA, Bar Crudo, and La Urbana. Remember to make your dining reservations in advance, the best restaurants are always busy!

Getting around

Street parking is available, but make sure to pay attention to the street signs to prevent tickets. Public transportation is the way to go in San Francisco. It's convenient and easy to learn. The MUNI bus lines within 3 blocks of the apartment are 5, 21, 31 (to Downtown and the Ocean) and the 24 and 43 to the Haight, Castro and Cow Hollow/Marina districts. With those MUNI lines you can get just about anywhere in the city.

  • This was a great location to explore San Francisco from. My husband and I loved not being in super touristy areas, and every recommendation of Carlynn's that we followed was a success. There are great coffee shops and restaurants nearby, and the Muni stops are very convenient.
Regarding the actual lodgings, the floors are very creaky, so that takes some getting used to, and for those with allergies, I think there may be a cat there at times. Otherwise, the place was comfortable to hang out in and we didn't feel cramped at all. The bed was big enough for the two of us. Thanks for a great first time in SFO!

  • We had a great time in NOPA! The best location in SF :)

Carlynn had a nice info book with practical instrucions reg the accommodation and the area. She even prepared a basket with emergency gear - iphone charger, toothpaste, toothbrush etc. Great service :) considering we arrived with 1/2 days notice.

Nice comfortable bed and well equiped flat with full size bathroom. Perfect location close to restaurants, cafés, buses and Bi-Rite with amazing organic and good quality local produce!

  • Carlynn kept us well informed and check in was made very easy. The apartment was really clean and just as pictured. It was in a great location for the painted ladies and there were lots of fab bars and restaurants nearby. The bus stop was close too, so easy to get downtown. We really enjoyed our stay in San Fran and Carlynn's place was a great base to see the city.

  • We had a great time at Carlynn's apartment! NOPA is an AWESOME neighborhood- super close to Alamo Park, Buena Vista Park, and there are awesome restaurants, bars, and cafes within walking distance. Golden Gate Park is also not far away, and we had a great day biking through the park. The apartment was in a great location, quiet, and very spacious. We really had no complaints about our stay at Carlynn's apartment!

  • GF and I had a great weekend at Caralynn's place. At her advice we tried the toast at The Mill. Best. Toast. Ever. Do yourself a favor: Stay at Caralynn's and go to The Mill. It's so good. In all seriousness, though, she is super attentive and accommodating. Great place, great host, great neighborhood. A+!

  • I was in town on business and everything went smoothly. Carlynn was very responsive with questions. This apartment is in a relatively quiet part of town but close to lots of restaurants and amenities.

Overall, I was quite pleased with my experience staying here.

About
I Live in the heart of the very trendy NOPA area in San Francisco, CA. I love to travel and experience different cultures first hand. My boyfriend and I are adventurous and love to try new things, especially when it comes to food and wine. We enjoy outdoor activities such as biking, kayaking, and hiking. I'm easy going and enjoy meeting new and interesting people. Some of my hobbies include photography (35mm film and digital), graphic design, and the farm to table food movement. I worked in the legal field for multiple years (law firm and non-profit sector), until I moved into the tech start-up scene. I love my city by the bay and I'm happy to assist in anyway I can. Whether you're a frequent San Francisco traveler or its your first time, I'm here to answer any questions!
