I will possibly visit the apartment every 2-3 days for no longer than 5 minutes and I'll definitely give you a prior notice when I do. This is my home and I just want to verify everything is in tact.
My apartment complex is quiet yet it's still less than a block away from bars, clubs, restaurants, shopping, etc.
The Capitol Metro is very inexpensive or you can choose to take a 10 dollar taxi cab ride downtown.
Two grocery stores are about a block away. I have a few ice chests that can be borrowed. Walking distance to the green belt hiking trail. A few bars within walking distance: Gibsons, Broken Spoke, Black Sheep Lodge, Corner Bar, Reds Porch, Barley Swine, Opa Coffee and Wine Bar, Saxon Pub, Horseshoe Lounge. Easiest way to see what's around my neighborhood is to (website hidden) the words "Restaurants or Bars on S. Lamar".

Steve's place was exactly as advertised. Clean, cozy and well furnished/stocked. Steve was very attentive and responded quickly when I wrote to him.
Booked this badass Longhorns pad for a NYE. Great location. Close by downtown Austin. Thanks for the Christmas tree! Great spirits. Thanks S.
Steve was an excellent host. The place was clean and well kept and Steve made himself available to be contacted throughout the visit. Upon hearing of a planned visit to the UT campus, he even invited us to a tailgate party on the day of a Longhorn football game ... It was a fun time and an unexpected treat during the trip!
The visit was a very pleasant experience and would stay there again.
Very nice to stay in such a well equipped vacation rental. This is in fact the home of the owner which makes it both quite comfortable and a bit unusual. Steve was very gracious, welcoming and helpful. The experience was all that I had hoped for. Good location, quiet apartment and lots of comforts and amenities. Great for two people and ok for someone in the living room. I would stay here again.
Steve's a great guy and has a nice apartment conveniently located to nearby restaurants and the day/night bus. He checked in frequently to ensure all was well and that we had everything we needed.
My boyfriend and I came to Texas for the ACL Festival this past weekend, and we cannot say enough nice things about our stay in Steve's apartment. First of all, Steve could not have been a better host, he was always in communication with us, marked each thing in the house with notes on how to use everything, he was also nice enough to offer us a ride to places (we ended up taking him up on his offer for a ride to the airport, which was so generous of him ((saved us $40!)). He checked up on us throughout the weekend to make sure we were enjoying our stay and if we needed anything. Oh, and I forgot to mention this initially but the house was SPOTLESS and hotel style clean when we walked in. Not only was it immaculate, but super comfy and beautifully decorated! He also stocked the fridge with the essential foods, and he even offered us some of his wines and spirits if we were unable to make it to the liquor store. He went above and beyond for us when he went out to buy us new super comfortable sheets and towels for our stay and offered us complimentary travel size soaps, shampoo and conditioners. He could not have been a better host, 5 star quality for sure!!
The apartment itself was perfect, just the right amount of space, amazing living room with a super comfy couch, two huge flat screen tv's (for watching multiple sport games, my boyfriend took full advantage!). It was sooo much better and cheaper than staying in a hotel!! Steve aloud us full use of his bike, so my boyfriend took his and I rented one, and we were able to bike EVERYWHERE!! Which brings me to the next topic- the location could not have been better, just a few short miles from ACL and downtown, it was perfect!!! I could go on forever with this review, but basically, best airbnb place I have ever stayed in, I would highly recommend it!! Hopefully will get to stay there again on our next trip to Austin!
