Ground floor unit in updated 1917 building 2 blocks from light rail which you can take straight from the airport. If you are visiting OHSU or PSU both are right here. Enjoy the arts, all within walking distance. Includes 1 parking spot. BEAUTIFUL!!!!
VALUE: Upon checking in our very first guest one of the first things she said is "You should charge more" and "We feel like we won the bnb lottery". :-) (Thank you Karen)
QUIET: Although the map shows a close proximity to the freeway it is a non-issue unless you are expecting country quiet in the city. The freeway is a good 30 ft below ground (note: in a review they state you must cross a busy street to get downtown. While this is somewhat true as seen in the photo. This is done at any of the crosswalks with walk signals which should not be a challenge for anyone. I did not want you to think you are playing frogger or darting through traffic :-)). It is similar to any city hotel. In addition we used Quietrock drywall during construction to abate any airborne noise between units. Base and heavy footsteps can still be heard as in any old building.
REST: There are two bedrooms joined by french doors. Each has a queen bed. There is a walk in closet in the main.
Guests have access to the entire condo.
Interaction with Guests
We live in the house next door and are typically available if you have any questions or concerns. However we will not be intruding on your time in our beautiful city. We want your stay to be everything you imagined.
You name it and it is within walking distance or a quick jump on the MAX. The walk score is an 86, although I give it a 100 :-) A quick fact: Our city blocks are only 200 ft which is only half the size of a normal city block. I believe only one other city is constructed this way.
Portland Art Museum
Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall
Performing Arts Center
Jeld-wen Field (Timbers & Thorns) walk or MAX
Rose Garden (Blazers & Winterhawks) MAX
There are too many to list. We have become known for our foodie culture here and starting from our condo you easily can access many of the wonderful places to eat in the downtown neighborhoods.
You will love our market on Saturdays: Look up the Saturday Farmers Market. Live music, wonderful fresh foods.
MAX line is a stones throw (900 ft, can you throw that far?) from the front door. Ideal for arrival from the airport or departure. The Street Car is in the Park Blocks which is also only a few (7 or 8) blocks away. Both have great websites to plan your day trips.

Thank you SO MUCH!
The apartment was even better than I thought it would be! It is in a great location. We biked all over the city and it was wonderful coming back the this apartment. It was bright, clean and we felt very welcome by the snacks that had been left for us. I would absolutely stay here again!
Everything about our stay exceeded our expectations. David was incredible at responding to emails and questions about the house and just some simple questions about our time in Portland. The house was phenomenal and fit 4 of us very comfortably (the beds are amazing). When we arrived the house was spotless and ready to go for us. They left a detailed list about the internet and cable, as well as information needed for check out. The neighborhood is great, close to down town and easy access to the freeway on ramps. A parking spot is provided which is great as street parking is limited to just a few hours. Over all we loved the house, it has amazing natural lighting, it is in a very quite building, the hosts have made it perfect for a relaxing evening. We will definitely be looking to stay here again for our next trip to Portland.
We loved staying here to celebrate a birthday weekend! We loved everything about this apartment - it was beautifully decorated, clean, and had everything we needed, including yummy snacks. We left this morning and all of us already went to go back.
What a beautiful place! We can't say enough good things about it. We had three adults and a toddler, and there was more than enough room. We loved the fruit and snacks, and snuggled in every night to watch a movie. The location is perfect. Easy access to the city. We'll be back!
Nice little place right outside of downtown, and conveniently close to the freeway. Apartment was spotless and had all the amenities you can need. Although a parking spot was included with the place, getting in and out of the parking spot in a large car (we had a mini van) will be a serious challenge, as it's a small lot and narrow driveway. Otherwise, we couldn't have been more pleased with our stay and communication with David.
Did not see them except for key exchange when we arrived, but we knew that if we needed anything we could send a message.
Nice snacks, flowers and fresh fruit.
Condo was quiet, clean and as pictured.
We would stay there again and not hesitate to recommed it to others.
My family and I had a great stay in Portland. David's appartment was perfect for our needs: central and within walking distance of every place we wanted to visit. The flat itself is beautiful -- well appointed, clean and had all amenities that we needed. We would love to stay there again!
We are a family of three. Kimberly is a retired dancer and works as a Pilates Instructor and Davids works in the Veterinary world. Our son Chase is 3 and he keeps us entertained. We live in the home next door to our condo (our three year old needed a yard) so we are available if needed but are happy to respect your space and want your trip to Portland to be the one you were expecting. However if you do need suggestions, we are also happy to oblige.
