  • We (my 3 friends and I) had a perfect stay at Eric's place! Perfect location, nice and clean apartment, good shower, Senseo for a nice coffee in the morning. Close to restaurants, supermarket, trams, the park. And yes there are stairs, high stairs, but that's Amsterdam :-).

  • Perfect apartment and a wonderful host! Eric was lovely to work with and very accommodating, especially considering we were not able to check in until after midnight. The apartment is beautiful, clean, and perfectly located. Close walk to everything, but removed enough from the busy touristy areas. We could not have asked for a better stay!

  • Location location location! This place is perfect to see everything in Amsterdam. It was our first time and having now seen the different areas we are SO pleased we chose to stay in Eric's apartment as it is so conveniently located and in a safe, clean and trendy neighbourhood. The tram to Dam square (no 17) is a 5 minute walk away or it is a 10 minute walk to Leidesplein which is a really nice place with great shops, bars & restaurants. The apartment is very nice, modern and clean and has everything you need whilst away (fridge, cooker, microwave, kettle, coffee machine), there is a great bathroom with a powerful shower. There is a Lidl and other supermarkets close by. I am a very fussy person when it comes to staying places but the apartment is of a very high standard which I couldn't find when looking for a hotel within this price range. Eric is a brilliant host and very helpful. Look no further and book here! We can't wait to go back!

  • I had a great time staying in Eric's apartment. It's ideal for a couple or for two friends who are happy to share a double bed.

Initially I was a little stunned by the amount of steep stairs you had to tackle to get into the apartment, but you'll soon realise that this is the case in a lot of buildings in Amsterdam too.

You enter the apartment via a second staircase within Eric's apartment however the design keeps both apartments feeling very separate which is ideal.

The apartment has great views and an amazing washroom. everything you need for a few days are included, such as microwave, tv, ironing board, kettle etc.

My friend and I seen Eric about 2 to 3 times during our stay which suited us fine. On check out day we arrange to meet around 9am and handover the keys.

All in all a very good place to stay. No complaints.

  • The apartment is not really big and of hotel type: there are everything for short living with no excess so-called "decor". Location is very good! You may reach museums in 10 min of walking and old city-center in 20-25.
The host lives in the same house, which is a plus for check-in - check-out arrangements. Eric is polite and attentive!
    Thank you! :)

    Response from Eric:

Thank you for your comment Galina. Amsterdam houses aren’t big in general :-). The style of the apartment is very modern and clean, perhaps you associate this in your own way :-). The old city-center is much closer than you describe: The first canal is located at the end of the street; 3 minutes of walking from the apartment! Hope to meet you again in the future!

  • The location of this unit is amazing. Easily within walking distance of downtown attractions, yet discreet enough to avoid the hustle and bustle. The unit is itself is clean and quite, and served our needs perfectly.

Eric was incredibly accommodating with our travel arrangements. Highly recommend both him and this particular unit.

  • First of all, we would like to thanks Eric for being so welcoming.
The apartment was perfect, it has everything we needed for a short stay in Amsterdam. The location is also perfect and very close from the center, everything can be done by walking. Transportation was only needed from the airport to the apartment.

We would definitly recommend this apartment. Eric is the perfect host !

We will come back as soon as we can for sure.

My name is Eric. I am a Dutch architect based in Amsterdam. Travelling is one of my favorite activities and I made recently use of Airbnb. Therefore I decided to rent a separate part of my apartment to other travelers. Food is something I enjoy very much and I can therefore give you advice about many of the restaurants in town. I love outdoor activities like sailing and walking in the woods, My favorite indoor activity is spinning.
