The space

Welcome to Vancouver! We would love to have you stay in our guest suite, which has spacious private room and bathroom (fresh towels included), at our house in Vancouver’s Oakridge neighbourhood.

Special Note: We have a $10 surcharge for single night stays.

Guests can enjoy coffee from some of Vancouver's finest roasters every morning, and we would love to point you to some of our favourite spots in the city.

The house is centrally located with easy access to downtown, University of British Columbia and YVR airport. The suite has a private entrance through the backyard and has a spacious private room and bathroom, which is connected to a lounge area and small kitchenette unit with basic appliances (bar fridge, toaster oven, coffee maker, kettle, dishes and sink).

The room has an incredibly comfortable queen-size bed, a small desk and comes fully equipped with free wi-fi and a HD TV with Netflix access (sorry, no live TV) for rainy nights when you just want to stay in.

The house is in the northwest corner of Vancouver's Oakridge neighbourhood. Just a few blocks from Shaughnessy and Kerrisdale, our street takes on the feel of those neighbourhoods with large, single family homes with private backyards.

We are just shy of 41st Ave (a major east/west artery in the city. Translink operates frequent bus service on 41st providing quick and easy access to the Canada Line (a 10 minute walk away).

To head downtown guests can use either the Granville St. buses (a major north/south route) or catch the Canada Line from Oakridge Centre. The Canada Line will take you either downtown or to the airport in 10 minutes.

One last thing:
The basement is a typical converted Vancouver basement and has 6.5 ft ceilings.

Guest access

Guests may utilize our main kitchen and laundry facilities at no extra charge. Food storage is available for both dry and cold goods. (there is a small fridge in the suite, but if you need more storage that can be arranged).

Interaction with guests

The unit is seperated from the rest of the house with its own entrance so we won't be in your space. However we are often around and enjoy visiting with our guests so would love to chat if you have time and that's you thing :)

We don't meet Aaron but were very well looked after by Steve, everything was as per the pictures and would recommend, the bus down town was a 5 minute walk away (must have change for the bus) we didn't notice the low ceilings.

Aaron, Steve and co were a group of lovely guys, who went out of their way to introduce themselves and help us out. The space itself is fantastic. Spacious, a really comfy bed, clean linen and towels, a huge TV, plenty of storage space and a nice hot shower. The small kitchenette had everything we needed during our stay. Thoroughly recommend this house and it's in a great location - just off the main street, so quiet and peaceful, but also very close to public transport links into the town centre, airport etc. Thanks for a fantastic stay! :)

Very affordable and next to a bus stop which connected very easily to the rest of the city. The hosts were friendly but unobtrusive. Overall a really nice place!

This place is lovely, clean and the check in process went easy. We only needed a place to sleep and have a shower so this one worked perfectly.

We stayed in Aaron and Steve's place for 5 days and the experience was absolutely amazing! The location was fantastic and was near a bus stop that we took every single day to get to the skytrain, stores, etc. The suite was very clean and very welcoming. Steve even introduced himself to us on our first day and was a great host. All in all, they were very accomodating and the airbnb was perfect.

The house was fantastic. Bedroom was exactly as picture showed, and the living space is a lot bigger than expected. I'm thankful for the convenience received in the space. Host was friendly and hospitable. Lovely vegetable garden.. Space did not have air-conditioning, but as its the basement, it stayed cool throughout the day.
