We have lovingly crafted this 3 story modern condo into a romantic playground filled with all the comforts of home. Both bedrooms have a queen bed with a mountain of pillows and a full bath. The Treehouse Bedroom upstairs also has a private sitting area which gives great comfort and flexibility for 2 couples or a family. With the queen sized fold-out couch in the Great Room, the house can comfortably sleep 6. The private street entrance and one car garage gives you the freedom to come and go as you please with hassle-free parking. Having a garage in a big city like San Francisco is a big plus.

Located in the trendy Mission District you are in the center of all of the Bay Area's attractions. The house is a 15 minute walk from all the night attractions of the Castro, Mission District and SOMA. There are several major public transport options nearby including BART and several bus lines that quickly get you everywhere else: The financial district, China Town, North Beach, Haight-Ashbury and other areas. The Mission itself has many of the city's best restaurants and nightlife. If you send a note to our property manager after you book ... they will be happy to share recommendations.

And finally, you can find all the necessities you need within a 10 minute walk. You are just a few blocks away from a 24 hour supermarket (Safeway), a gym (24 Hour Fitness), a second gym with a rock wall, video rental (Blockbuster), theaters, galleries and artsy cafes, fine dining, and amazing brunch restaurants.

The Decorations

If you find ladders, levels, wood and little nooks fun you are going to love the Mission Treehouse. The whole house has been thematically decorated with furniture from the mid-century modern era and special pieces designed from wood reclaimed from Bay Area buildings. The Redwood Bedroom has a beautiful headboard and shelves that were crafted from recovered support beams from a house built over 100 years ago. In the Treehouse Suite, you will find a ladder recovered from an old warehouse as well as some rare eucalyptus beams used in the creation of the custom bed. All together, the home has become a playful expression of the tree forts I built as a kid that we hope will inspire the playful nature in you.

Wired for Work... and for Play....

The Treehouse comes wired with Xfinity triple-play. Wireless Internet, 2 full HD (1080p) cable TVs and telephones with free local and US long distance. Sony Playstation (PS3 with a selection of video games) and DVD players are included. For additional entertainment we have provided our guests with streaming Netflix capability.

From the Owner.

I love my home. I hope you love it too. I have been in this amazing city for over 20 years and can fill you in on the best of the best in San Francisco. I've lived in this home since 2003, sadly now my job is taking me away for several years. I hope you make my home your home and have a great time during your visit.

  • The Mission Treehouse is a great spot for a San Francisco stay. It's close to restaurants and public transportation with the added bonus of a Blue Bottle coffee across the street! We only stayed a night before flying out but agreed it was lovely. The eclectic furnishings make it unique and comfortable. The space even has a small deck; perfect for an evening drink. You should know that while guests can sleep on three different levels, two of them are more open and not as private as the downstairs bedroom. It was not an issue for us, but might be for some. Sara was incredibly gracious in helping us with check in and check out with a later flight. She was quick to respond and willing to help in whatever way she could. If you want a real San Francisco experience, I highly recommend the Mission Treehouse!

  • The treehouse was adorable! Well stocked for a great stay. Right next to Blue Bottle Coffee, which was great for an early morning coffee run before heading to the BART to head into the city for a conference. Other notable places right next door are the Mission Cliffs climbing gym and the absolutely delicious Universal Cafe. Getting in and out was easy, and Sara was very communicative throughout the stay. My only very small reservation was that the process was a bit more "corporate" than I am used to for Airbnb stays; however, this didn't really affect things and I had a wonderful stay.

  • The Mission St treehouse and loft is an amazing and one of kind property in a perfect location in downtown San Francisco! The host was able to accommodate my last minute requests and responded to all emails very quickly. The place has a full kitchen and a gorgeous table that seats six. There's a flat screen tv with cable both in the living room and in the guest bedroom. There's also an amazing balcony with a view of the Twin Peaks that just can't be beat. To make the whole thing even better we requested a late checkout, which was fine, and woke up and walked to blue bottle, literally next door, to get some amazing coffee and morning treats. If you need to find a great place to check out the city I fully recommend you give this place I try, you won't be disappointed!

About
I love people... truly I adore meeting people, hearing about their lives, and making a difference for others. Being able to provide clean, lovely and stylish homes to guests is deeply fulfilling to me. It is an honor to have the opportunity to be hospitable. Even if most of my communication is with the individual reserving the home, I know that I am taking care of them so that they may take care of the other members in their group - whether that is three generations of a family or a group of friends or a team of coworkers. I live in San Francisco and offer a whole home to guests that I also own. In addition, I help some dear friends and family by providing guest services for homes that they own. I have always been passionate about providing wonderful customer service - even when I was a babysitter or worked in retail as a teenager. The home owners I help appreciate my passion and want people who stay in their homes to feel cared for and loved by me. All of my activities - such as responding swiftly to questions, fulfilling special requests, and providing neighborhood information to guests - are intended create a positive experience. For clarification, taking care of guests is at times a team effort. So you may read reviews that mention other people's names who are (or have been) part of my excellent team. Being able to provide a whole home - not just beds, but a kitchen and communal living space - especially inspires me. Recently, parents with their 5 young children stayed at one of my homes. I came by to drop off some extra items and got to watch the father play with the baby and see the other kids in their footie pjs piled up on the couch enjoying a cartoon before bed. I believe they made most of their meals in the kitchen, which was a significant savings for a family of their size. When they checked out, the parents told me how it simply would not have been possible for them to take a vacation like this at a hotel. It moved me to know that I gave these parents and children something so precious. My mother probably would have had a bed & breakfast, but instead ran a small business to support my dad's dreams. Even still, she had a comfortable lounge, complete kitchen, full time cook, and little touches like scented candles so that clients felt at home. She hosts a Thanksgiving dinner for 40+ so that friends, family, friends of family, family of friends, etc can experience belonging and being part of something special. I inherited her love for hospitality, combined with my father's outgoing nature. I've had the good fortune to travel internationally a bit. I'm learning and eventually will be able to speak French, Spanish, Italian and perhaps some other languages. I want to be able to communicate with people globally in their own language, whether they are visiting me or I'm visiting them. I also deeply enjoy exploring the city in which I live. Even after living in LA for 30+ years, I was always learning something new and discovering special qualities. There is so much happening in San Francisco, one can be a "tourist" in this city and never get bored. There isn't enough time in the day to attend all the events and try all the restaurants, etc. I appreciate when my guests tell me about their SF adventures.
