This private room in the Garden District of Tower Grove is a special find for guests passing through St. Louis. My quiet, clean apartment includes off-street parking for one car, wifi, and free laundry facilities. Pets are welcome, too, so stop by!
The bedroom in this one-room apartment is all yours. It is clean and private, with a raised queen-sized air mattress. The room also comes with a second air mattress.
Its a small apartment, so what spaces do we share?
We share the bathroom and kitchen area, so make yourself comfortable. Take a hot shower, cook yourself some supper using my pots and pans (you have to call it 'supper' when you're in Missouri!) or stash some leftovers in my fridge. If you want to do a load of laundry, there are free facilities in the basement.
Are animals allowed?
Definitely. Your pets are welcome and they can go anywhere they like, they don't have to be confined to the guest room.
FYI, I have a cat, but he is not allowed in the guest room, so please keep your bedroom door closed when you aren't at home.
Hosting with ABB has been a very positive venture for me and I want to keep hosting for a long time, so your comfort and satisfaction is important. I can make some plans, hand you keys and say 'See ya later, or I can stick around and we can order some dinner--notice I didn't say 'cook some dinner', I'm a terrible cook. Traveling can be tiring, so just let me know what makes you comfortable.
I'm big on safety. It is difficult knowing where to stay in a strange city. You want a cost-efficient trip, but you also want to make sure that, however brief your stay, you feel safe in your surroundings. My apartment is within St. Louis city limits and close to many attractions, but still surrounded by a quiet neighborhood. My street is one-way and blocked off at the end, so there isn't a lot of random traffic. Guests park their cars behind the building and off the street, we have never had an issue.

Maria's apartment is cute and clean and cheerful and wonderfully located. It was easy to come and go, and it's super close to both Tower Grove Park (nice place for a stroll) and the Missouri Botanical Gardens.
Maria was away while I stayed there, but communicating with her was very easy and everything went completely smoothly. I was in town to be with a family member who was in the hospital - not the most pleasant of reasons - and Maria was very kind and accommodating about the whole situation. I'm terribly sorry we didn't get to meet - I'm sure she is a lovely person.
Staying with Maria was great! She was a very welcoming host and I felt relaxed and ready to knock them dead at my graduate school interviews. The apartment is located in a beautiful neighborhood with easy access to public transportation. Between the St. Louis pizza and the extremely comfortable bed, I couldn't have asked for more during my stay!
Maria was an awesome host. My boyfriend and I were road weary on a cross-country trip from DC to Boulder, CO and she was so accomodating, to both us and our dog Sally. Her cute apartment was a perfect place to unwind and catch up on some zzz's before continuing our trip. It's located in a nice neighborhood. And even though it was freeeezing when we arrived, our room was warm and cozy. We arrived before Maria and when she got to her apartment about an hour after our arrival, she was a joy to meet. She offered us beers (St. Louis beers at that!) leftover from a recent get together and hung out, talking with us in the kitchen as we figured out which St. Louis BBQ place we would go to for dinner. She was incredibly quiet - we didn't hear her at all when she got up early for work. The air bed was more comfortable than my real bed. And her cat Gray Cat was awesome. We were sad we only got to stay one night - next time we're in St. Louis we'll definitely be staying with Maria.
Maria was super nice host! Also the room is exactly what it says here. Cozy, cute, and cost efficient! She was very nice and helpful while I was staying there, and the house was pretty clean, and organized. Love her artistic taste too! Ah and, There is a cat.
Maria is a very sweet and helpful host, Gray Cat is cute and friendly, and the room (also the rest of the apartment) is clean and comfortable! What more could you want in a cost-effective, cozy temporary home?
Maria was a great host! Her place is exactly what is says: Cute, Cozy and cost effecient. The air mattress provided a good nights sleep and the room was comfortable. She is great with communication, laid back, and super helpful. We were in town for a wedding and needed to iron some things before hand. When we arrived the iron and ironing board were the room for us. She and her cat have great personalities... though Mr. Grey can get fiesty if you try to rub his belly for too long, stick to the top of his head and you'll get along great!
Short and sweet: If you need a place to stay in STL. Stay here.
Comfortable, affordable and an accommodating host. Can't ask for much more than that.
Despite not meeting Maria in person, coordinating with her via email along with the printed instructions she provides in her home helped make me feel like I knew her.
I strongly recommend anyone looking for a place to stay while in St. Louis chooses this home.
Cozy and quaint apartment, a great stop and a comfy bed! And a very nice gray cat. We would gladly stay again.
Maria was great! She is very kind, accommodating and fun to talk to. Our room was clean and stocked with a comfy bed, great reading material and even tooth brushes! She even left us a nice little note on the kitchen table before we left.
I will be recommending her to my friends who are venturing to St. Louis.
Great place to stay in St. Louis! Clean. Maria was a great host!
