May's apartment worked out great for me. The location was very convenient, you can walk to Barracks Road shopping center. The apartment setup was as advertised, quiet, and well supplied.
May is very friendly, easy to communicate with, and accommodating. I needed to change my plans shortly
before my trip and were able to make that work just
fine. She asked me if there was anything specific I would
like in the way of breakfast supplies on arrival and then
she went above and beyond my requests. I would definitely
stay here again.
The one-bedroom had everything we needed and was very comfortable. The host was well-organized and responsive. She had left delicious snacks for us and we felt at home. The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful. Overall, highly recommend this rental.
I stayed at May's with a fellow grad student for a conference at UVA. We loved it here! May is a lovely host and had thought of everything - there are so many little amenities not listed here. The kitchen is stocked so that you can cook your own food (pans, oil, spices, etc.) and there's even tupperwear to pack a lunch. May even left us some breakfast foods because we were getting in late. Trader Joe's is close by, as well as a Harris Teter, Starbucks, etc. The location is super. Her house is close to the UVA free shuttle so getting to/from campus was a breeze. Spacious enough for two people to split the bedroom/living room and not feel like we were on top of each other. Couch and bed were both comfortable for sleeping. May's yard is beautifully landscaped and there's a little patio where you an sit and sip a glass of wine looking out over the back yard. (She's even got bug spray. :) Would go back in a heartbeat.
We had a great stay at May's place. Everything was as described and represented. May was a fantastic, generous, and accommodating host. She was most helpful, and the apartment was very comfortable. We also enjoyed her gorgeous backyard and having a drink on the deck.
We were very satisfied with our apartment. May kindly provided us with a few provisions in the fridge as we got in late. We especially liked the privacy of our 'suite' with its private entrance. The bed is very hard, o.k. for us with bad backs. And the bathroom is tiny, barely elbow room; but it's functional. Our weather was up and down, hot vs cold, so we couldn't use the wonderful outdoors landscaping. Much to enjoy!
May was very welcoming and helpful whenever I needed anything done, including pick up groceries for me when I was returning from interstate travel.
The listing described the apartment accurately and the location was fantastic - extremely close to Barracks Road Shopping Centre.
