    A beautiful and peaceful community courtyard with green garden, secret paths to some amazing houses and a big Boudha Satue. Almost no trafic, friendly atmosphere with kids playing or gatherings

    Vegetable market. Nice early in the morning to buy fresh veggies and fruits, but only if you dont fear fish smells and goats heads.

    One of the most important Buddhist temple in Nepal. Golden roof and artefacts. Especially nice in the early morning during prayer time

    Patan Gate: the entrance of Patan while coming from Kathmandu. Thats where we advise you to take and be drop off by taxis. Please avoid entering the Old town by car, it is so fragile!

    It is the oldest of the area. You find almost as many things as in the new one nearby called Bhat Bhateni but it is smaller and less plasticky. We much prefer to encourage local businesses!

    A very busy road where you will find lots of local sellers for veggies in the early morning. Later during the day, they leave space to clothing/ fabrics resellers. Super lively (and noisy! )

    If you are around Sanepa/ Jhamsikhel, go there for breakfast or lunch. Best burgers in town, good salads, drinks etc...It is also a good spot to work as there is reliable wifi. Close at 7pm

    The best lassi in town!! Ask for it, people will indicate you a small shop with indian guys that invariably keep on filling up glasses of this delicious Lassi. A must drink after some shopping.

    Nice village (known for mustard oil), from where you can walk through the rice fields to Bungamati (another nice village known for wood carving). 2 hours walk for a nice glimpse at the country side.

    Wake up early to visit this famous Hindu temple. Very impressive for the cremations that takes place on the bank of the holi Bagmati river.You can walk from there to Bodhnath (amazing Boudhist stuppa)
