Any other meals are not included. You might be able to use the kitchen upon request, always caring for your own food and cleaning after yourselves.
You are welcome to use of the laundry and the dryer, though its use is restricted to longer stays. It is not available for stays shorter than 4 nights, except in case of an emergency (that we can discuss).
The apartment is in a lovely suburb area 2' walk to the entrace of a Natural Park with great walks to trek. Public transportation is available almost at my doorstep. Bus number 1 runs in and out of town from 7am until 10pm every 15 minutes (every half an hour on Sat and every hour on Sun and holidays). After that you might need to take a taxi (around 10€), or walk 3km uphill. Just for your info, a taxi from my place to the airport will cost you around 40€, but there are buses from the airport to the center of town (and reverse) running all the time.
The neighbourhood has a small supermarket, a farmacy and a gas station running in regular commercial hours (aprox 9am to 8pm)
Me and my boyfriend stayed in Mun's apartment in September. The original plan was to stay with Mun, but Mun was in the US for work. So it was a shame we didn't get to meet Mun (and her promising travelstories) but we had the feeling that by staying in her apartment with all her pictures, books and travel souvenirs we kinda got to know her a little bit. Good friends of Mun showed us around and they were really helpful with a lot of nice tips (restaurants, the old wall in Girona, beautiful village of Dali!).
The bedroom has its own garden which is great, and you can see the Pyrenees from the balcony on the other side of the apartment. From the apartment it's a 10-15 minute walk to the great old wall which will lead you to the city center but can also take you around Girona, which is unbelievable.
We would absolutely recommend Mun's apartment if you are planning on staying in Girona!!
Me and my girlfriend enjoyed a great two nights staying with Mun back in August. The place is perfectly located for anyone wanting to visit Catalunya, with great access to the Costa Brava (less than an hour), or to the lush green mountains with fantastic medieval villages and crystal clear lakes. Mun was a great host giving a great insight into the area and helped us see as much as possible. I would also recommend visiting the beautiful city of Girona which within walking distance of Muns place. The city has a brilliant old town with a fort and many stones buildings, a great way to spend half a day. Thanks again Mun!
Mun was a gracious host and has a cozy, clean, and interesting apartment! Be sure to check out the HUGE world map and ask about all her amazing travel stories! Would highly recommend staying here :-) (Also, WiFi was super fast and easy!)
At our arrival Mun was very flexible and understanding. Even though we arrived later than we expected, she went out of her way to make us feel welcomed which was more than appreciated :) Her place is a true paradise. Peaceful, heavenly and clean! It's located on top of the hill where the view is just amazing. The bus stop is a few minutes away from the house which was really convenient as well. Mun is a great person and she was very helpful for finding great places to visit. She recommended a gastronomic restaurant in town for our last day in Girona that was just to die for! We really recommend this peaceful place to everyone. And don't forget Mun, you're more than welcome in Brittany anytime ;)
This is a great place if you are looking for a place in Gerona. The apartment is located on a hill, outside the centre but still quite near the centre of the city. The apartment has nice terrace and large swimming pool. Moreover, Mun is really a great host. She is very friendly and helpful. Next, she gives you space in her home. Three aspects that make you feel at home quite soon.
If you have a car/motorbike that can easily climb up some hilly road, I do advise to reach Mun's suite..
It's only 3 kilometers away from Girona's city center. The view is lovely, the area is really quiet, and the apartment is really great,
comfortable, nicely furnished, full of colors and fragrances.
My son tried hard to sabotage it in every possible way, flooding it and spreading Nutella everywhere, but no way: wonderful
Mun, out of her yoga self-control, set everything back in order and did not even complain .. ;-)
We had a great time at Mun's place in Girona. The way she described the room, facilities and the envrionment on the site is exactly how it is and what you get. No surprises! Breakfast was good, we felt like we were in a hotel. That's what I call hospitality (and I can say that, having worked in hospitality & education for years) Having your own bathroom is a real pre although keep in mind her office is opposite your bathroom. The location is even better; on top of the hill with a great view on Girona city with the mountains on the background. We walked uphill once and although it was steep at moments, it took us just half an hour. Bus nr 1 runs up regularly as well, but the last bus goes around 10 pm on weekdays. All in all a fantastic stay at a nice person's place. Thanks Mun we would love to come back to discover the National Park you told us about!
Lovely place! Good hospitality ! We had a nice and interesting chat about the crisis in Spain. Now we are back, we recommend her breakfast as the best we had in 8 days ;)!
We had a lovely stay at Mun's! She is a very welcoming and helpful host, always available to give you good recommendations on where to go and what to do in the area. Mun's Flat is great, you can easily walk to the old town (there's a shortcut!), breakfast was perfect to start the day, and she let us use her kitchen for dinner a few times which was really convenient. The room has direct access to a little garden; unfortunately it was a bit too early in the year to try the swimming pool. Highly recommended!
Mun is a delightful host, and went out of her way to make us comfortable. We enjoyed a lovely dinner with her. Her home is very comfortable and Mun provided us with a full kitchen with anything we may want for breakfast. Although her home is not located in the central part of town, it is a 15 minute walk into the historic city as well as a frequent bus or taxi service. It is a quiet neighborhood with a beautiful view.
