John was a great host, who accommodated our early check-in and late check-out requests as best he could. His flat is wonderful, full of inspiring paintings and curious objects; and with his insider tips on where to eat (and where not to!) we felt like locals living in this great part of Brooklyn.
This is the coolest place I've stayed in. The neighborhood was really cute and quiet. Really close to the Q and its the only place I want to stay when visiting! John was really easy and accommodating and everything I would have wanted to know was right in front of me! Love this place!
John made sure that everything was arranged before my arrival (he was out of town at the time). He was easy to get a hold of and was quick to return messages prior to arrival. The place was as pictured. It was comfortable and spacious for the two of us. The block had several great restaurants to choose from and was a perfect homebase for our visit. Would definitely recommend staying at this apt!
John had made an arrangement so we could get the key easily. He was not in USA at the time we stayed in the apt., but it gave no problem because he answered our sms and e-mail nearly immediately. Everything was OK.
The apartment is spacious, clean and cosy with comfortable beds.
The neighborhood is charming with lots of small, comfortable restaurants and bars. The only regret is, that the bar under the apartment can be fairly noisy at night. We can really recommend this charming apartment!
We had a wonderful time staying in Flatbush! The apartment was lovely and the neighbourhood was beautiful. John was extremely helpful and provided us with a very convenient NYC guidebook and very clear instructions on getting around. Thanks for a lovely stay!
This apartment is our favorite place to stay when we visit Brooklyn. The neighborhood is safe and fun with great places to eat and a short walk from Prospect Park. This trip we visited the zoo which was so fun for us and our granddaughters. The space is delightful and artsy, clean and with plenty of room. Just a great space for us and would work well for two couples. Not great for kids - too many things to touch or break! Can be a little noisy at night because of the bar downstairs, but hey, just join in the fun and go have a drink with the locals!! Great wine shop across the street. Overall a great value and much better than a cramped hotel room. We actually plan our trips around when this space is available. May is a perfect month with the best weather and all the flowers and trees in bloom. The neighborhood is really lovely for long walks as well as convenient to the subway when you want to branch out and visit Manhattan. I should stop now or there will never be any openings here for me to come back!
