The apartment and location were perfect. We felt at home for the three nights we stayed, and enjoyed the nearby restaurants. Only a couple blocks from the Q, travel is easy. The bed(s) was super comfortable, there was a ton of space, and we absolutely would stay there again. In fact, we kind of wanted to live there.
John was very prompt in responding to my inquiry, and made check-in so easy. I had absolutely no problems or complaints. Would recommend this apartment to everyone.
Wonderful space! The apartment was eclectically decorated, clean, spacious, and perfectly located next to the metro. It was so easy to instantly feel at home and comfortable. John was quick to reply and set up everything so that our arrival was easy. There is a quirky little market down the way (right next to the metro) with an impressive beer selection where you can pick out your own six pack for cheap. We really enjoyed our stay this week! xoxo Jess and Ben
Excellent communication, super quick at returning emails with answers. Extremely nice to deal with. Detailed list of local eateries and services one might need. Apartment in superb location, minutes walk from subway and very nice neighborhood. Very homey and comfortable. The layout is a little odd with having to pass through one bedroom to get to the other, but no big deal. The apartment is a couple floors above a bar, which means there was some noise - but it's New York..so yea.
The appartment was great - cozy and spatious at the same time - we really felt at home. John was great, responded quickly in case of requests, and everything was well-prepared and organized. The neighbourhood is also nice with a cool bar downstairs and several delis, shops and restaurants nearby. We really enjoyed the stay and would have liked to stay longer!
We loved the apartment and the neighborhood. However I was on New York for the marathon. The apartment is over a bar. The first night we were there the band played until at least 2:00 am. You could hear and feel the drums. We left after one night. Can't run with no sleep.
Definitely a cool and cozy apartment (and cozy isn't code for small -it's more spacious than you'd think). Worked well for us, a family of four, great to have a relaxing place to hang out, with fun art on the walls too. Convenient for the Q subway, 30 mins right into Manhattan (and a 15 min walk to F/G to get to Williamsburg end of Brooklyn, though there's probably an easier way by bus). Easy and good local shops for groceries and coffee - Farm on Adderley was great for Sunday brunch. The apartment is above a bar, open until 2.00 at the weekends, which is worth knowing if that would bother you.
All info provided was clear (airport directions, getting keys, recommendations) and John was very responsive by text/email, before and during our stay. First time we've stayed outside Manhattan when visiting NYC, and this was a great place to pick. And of course, we had a great three days in NYC too.

We live in Brooklyn and enjoy traveling the world, eating good food & drinks, taking in as many galleries and museums as possible, and hanging out with friends. We can't live without coffee, wine, and dark chocolate. Art inspires us and we have an impressive vintage paint-by-number collection. We'd be happy to host you! Feel free to contact us. :)
