Interaction with Guests
We have an easy approach to interaction with guests, everyone is different some people like to be private some like to have an involvement with us. We have had guests where we see them very little and others who have had dinner with us or drinks in the garden we are basically guided by what our guests want out of the stay and of course what our daily lives dictate.
Barnwell is a historic, quaint and stunningly beautiful village, set in the Nothamptonshire countryside of rolling hills. We have a stream that runs through the village that enhances the relaxing feel to it. The surrounding area has multiple villages of similar size and beauty all situated within easy reach of the local town of Oundle. Visit the Talbot hotel with the famous staircase that Mary queen of scots walked down and fotherhay castle where she was beheaded to name just a couple of interesting points.
It is more convenient for guests if they have their own transport however we have hosted guests who havent come with a car and we have run them into Oundle so that they can catch the bus or taken them to restaurants in the evening, we are here to please and try to help where ever we can.

A lovely warm welcome from Sandra, the studio is lovely with everything you could need. It is clean and fresh and we spent a restful couple of nights here. There are a multitude of extras including shampoo and body wash, creams and lotions. The fridge had milk, butter, juice, jam there was cereal, tea and coffee it was like home from home. The village is lovely and the local pub has a decent menu. All in all a really enjoyable stay. Highly recommended. Thanks Sandra.
We had an absolutely lovely stay in Barnwell. The studio apartment is perfect - spacious and comfortable with everything we needed. Lovely assortment of breakfast food, and two dogs in Sandra's own home who we fell in love with. The wifi didn't really work in the apartment but there was a good selection of DVDs. The village of Barnwell is beautiful and tranquil. We would definitely come back here.
Thank you Daisy for being a great guest we loved having you stay. The internet is causing us a problem since they installed the new router however the internet is available even if from outside on the landing but I am trying to get it resolved with a booster via BT so that we do not have this issue, we may have to install a more commercial one but it is definitely being looked into. thanks again.x
This is a charming place to stay and relax, away from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the world. The flat is cozy, welcoming and warm. It has a wonderful kitchen, with more amenities than I have at my home. My wife and I enjoyed our stay, and will stay again if we have the chance.
Sandra and Bill's apartment is a lovely place - really well equipped and furnished, and very comfortable. Everything I needed had been thought of, right down to toothpaste and a pizza cutter, and they were kind enough to come out and help me find the place on my first night when it was dark and stormy. It's lovely and quiet here and I recommend it very highly.
The studio was fantastic. It had everything necessary for a cozy weekend in the countryside. Bed was very comfy and the rain shower was a great finishing touch. Sandra was an amazing hostess. I would recommend this property to anyone if they are interested in this area. Burghley House is very close as well and well worth a visit!
The apartment was amazing - Sandra was so accommodating she even popped to the shop to pick up A few things for breakfast. We used the apartment post our wedding and I couldn't have asked for a better accommodation. If you're in the area and looking for somewhere to stay, look no further.
Awwww thanks so much, I loved having you here .. I am such a romantic at heart and it was wonderful to witness you so in love and happy I hope the rest of your lives are filled with happiness and love. Lots of good wishes to you both x
Thank you for giving me permission to put up your pictures on here.
Love is all you need peeps
Lovely studio apartment, great location. Sandra was very helpful in recommending the local pub to eat. Had a blip when we arrived as we arrived slightly earlier than expected and there was no one around, so we just went to the pub! Breakfast of lots of cereal and orange juice left for us to use, look forward to returning next year
Thank you for the review Emma, we did have the blip when you arrived as I managed to get a flat tyre at Burghley horse trials that delayed my return which was unfortunate especially as you had arrived earlier than notified however you were very helpful for which I thank you. I do hope you return next year so that I can make it up to you.
