The ideal way to see Brookyln!
The apartment is a large three bedroom apartment in the heart of Park Slope, one of Brooklyn's most desirable neighborhoods. It's one block from beautiful Prospect Park and the 7th Ave F/G trains. We are surrounded by great restaurants, shops, and three farmers' markets. The Brooklyn Museum and Botanical Garden are a short walk through the park. It's twenty minutes to Manhattan via the F train, thirty minutes to Williamsburg/Greenpoint via the G.
The apartment has large living and dining areas and a full kitchen, with great pre-war details. Free wireless high-speed internet.
We're situated on the third floor of a charming pre-war building which sits atop Park Slope, and remains pleasantly breezy for most of the summer.
The neighborhood of Park Slope is one of the safest family oriented neighborhoods in New York City, and its iconic brownstone architecture comprises one of the larger historically preserved districts in New York. The neighborhood is prized for it's proximity to Prospect Park, which hosts summer concerts in it's band shell. The park is largely regarded to be the crowning achievement of Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux, the famed designers of Central Park. Its 585 acres of meadows and woods sit adjacent to The Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, a series of sprawling cultivated gardens which include among it's highlights, one of the largest Asian cherry orchards outside of Japan.
For visitors not familiar with the area, we will happily help you plan your visit with recommendations for restaurants and activities. We welcome foreign travelers and will gladly communicate with you in your native tongue of French, Spanish, Italian, or Portuguese.
Julia and Brian have a nice setup. Park Slope is an easy distance from Manhattan, and the apartment is clean and welcoming. Julia and Brian made a great effort to make my stay a pleasant one. Would happily recommend this place to anyone.
A warm ambiance radiates from Julia & Brian's apartment. It is certainly thanks to its luminous and large living-room, but for sure also to the presence of Julia & Brian themselves, which I enjoyed very much. Besides, the location of their apartment, in Park slope, close to Prospect Park and a few meters from a metro station, was a real plus.
