Rooms: (Le Camere)
Of the 5 rooms 3 are en-suite whilst the other 2 have a shared bathroom which makes it ideal for a family.
All rooms are newly renovated, spacious, simply furnished yet comfortable and all have TV's. Cots can be provided on request.
What to do and see: (Cosa vedere)
Vestreno's strategic location makes it the ideal base for a mountain or lakeside holiday.
Situated a few miles from the lake and surrounded by greenery, Vestreno offers the advantage of a good year round mild climate, as well as ever changing spectacular views of the mountains and Lake Como.
The area attracts keen walkers and mountain bikers as well as those wishing to spend carefree hours exploring medieval villages and stunning countryside.
Vestreno is also renowned for it's abundance of chestnut woods, wild mushrooms and berries all "ripe for the picking" when in season.
A 5km drive from Vestreno brings you to the lakeside town of Dervio which is an international centre for windsurfing, catamaran sailing and sailing schools. It also offers the chance to see major races.
Dervio has many small independent shops, cafes and bars and a rail link to all the main towns and villages along the Eastern side of the lake as well as the cities of Milan, Bergamo and Sondrio.
Where we are: (Dove siamo)
Vestreno is at the beginning of Valvarrone, at the foot of Monte Legnoncino.
After leaving Dervio on the lakeside Vestreno is the first village you arrive at.
Perched on the mountainside the village consists mainly of old stone houses some with the traditional "piode" roofs. The houses are linked by a warren of narrow streets, alleyways and winding steps.
Surrounding the village is an abundance of chestnuts trees with many paths and walks leading to other charming rural villages and sites such as The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Bondo.
Vestreno is a wonderful base for walkers and hikers of all abilities from the beginner to the more experienced.
