Interaction with Guests
If you want, we can share a welcome drink and a simple breakfast. I am retired and work a lot at home.
Very quiet in the night, except on Friday and Saturday. Young people are in the streets - discos nearby.
Parking is difficult. The best is to go into a paid parking (St-François, Rotillon, Montbenon, Mon-Repos).
From the airport, you take a train to Lausanne (45").
From the railway station, you take the M2 (Subway) direction Croisettes and get out next station called Flon (1 station).
From the main entrance of the St-François church, you see Starbuck. On the right side, there is the little street called Passage St-François. You go along until the end and find the No 1, my house.
Or you take bus no 1, direction Blécherette, and get (email hidden)-François (3 stations, reduced fare).
You find the house easily if you search Rue St-François. In No 10, there is a boutique Les Diamantaires associés. The entrance to my appartment is at the back of this boutique. You pass a little tunnel beside an asian restaurant La Grande Muraille and you see my house entrance.
Other Things to Note
In general, I prefer short stays.
Be discrete, friendly, open-minded.
Smoking is permitted.
I stayed for an additional day, as the friend I was planning to stay with bailed out.
The additional day was just as great as the first two and gave me the possibility to continue interesting discussions about life the universe and everything.
Staying with Hildegard was great! It's perfectly located in the Lausanne old town, and although there can be a bit of street noise at night, the character of the both the hostess and the ancient, top-floor flat make up for it.
Hildegard is a wonderful hostess, taking the time to talk with you and share experiences. I really had a special time staying with her, and have already marked this as one of my places to return when traveling around the French-speaking part of Switzerland.
Hildegarde est une hôtesse très accueillante et chaleureuse. Sa maison est très ancienne et très bien située au centre de Lausanne. Nous avons passé un très joli Noël, merci Hildegarde!
The reservation was canceled the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.
