About this listing
In the very medieval center and the artists district of Perugia a fascinating ancient apartment with all modernity comforts!
I renovated this apartment living it, for ten years, adding things that I loved, following the suggestions of a district that lives and breathes ... then I left, just about to move upstairs, but continuing to love the stone and the wood ...
There are two bedrooms, one with a large double bed, the other with a comfortable double sofa bed and ... a piano!
The kitchen completely accessoried with the dishwasher, the washing machine (with possible access to the use of the dryer), will make longer stays more comfortable and cheap.
Free wi-fi internet line is available.
You will live in the most lively district of the city, with restaurants, clubs where music is played almost every day, artists' workshops are open to sharing.
Interaction with Guests
I live upstairs and I'm always available. I've always lived in the district and the center of Perugia and I love to share information and suggestions on the town and activities!
The house is situated in a popular and attractive district just a few hundred meters from the main square and the Cathedral.
The maze of narrow streets, unexpected squares, historic buildings make it a place full of charm and energy, in every season.
It has recently become home to artists' workshops and is making its mark in the city for the variety of cultural and recreational activities, from street theater to the phantasmagoric parties with music and dancing, and activities for the kids!
We are one step from the Minimetrò station (Pincetto) and the joints of principal city bus lines (Porta Pesa, Galleria Kennedy, Piazza Italia).
You can reach the University for Foreigners and all the faculties of the center with a five minute walk.
It's not easy to drive the car in the center of Perugia (it's only open in the afternoon and not all the streets), but at a short distance there are numerous car parks, some of them free of charge.

We had the best host ever. Not only she had met us on time, she also drove us to show where a free parking was available.
She also supplied us with a city map, and some food (and wine) that lasted throughout our stay.
Claudia's apartment looked as it was described, and location was perfect, a walking distance all our activities in Perugia.
Should we visit Perugia again we will be looking for Claudia...
Claudia provided everything we needed and more, she even left us a welcome bottle of nice wine (Rosso di Montefalco)! The apartment is great, very close to everything you might want to see in Perugia, and has a washing machine to boot. I would absolutely stay here again.
We loved Claudia's apartment in Perugia. It was very well-located, beautiful, large, clean, and well-equipped in the kitchen and otherwise. The hot water seems to be instantaneously-generated, so we didn't have to worry about it running out in the shower (water pressure is good too). We cooked and ran the dishwasher and had no problems. Pillows are nice (from an American point-of-view). We ran a load of laundry with no problems, and there is a drying rack to hang up clothes.
Claudia lives upstairs and is easy to get ahold of, although I would definitely recommend (to anyone using airbnb in a country besides their own, in fact) having a working cell phone and not relying only on a pre-arranged meeting time because there can still be some confusion. It's a little noisy outside at night when people are coming/going to bars, but having lived in the center of Perugia as a student, I know that is impossible to avoid if you want to stay in the center (which you should).
It was also really nice that Claudia left breakfast, wine, and cookies for us. She also provides restaurant recommendations and very detailed instructions on how to use appliances, take out the garbage, etc. Would definitely recommend!
Great experience. Highly recommended!
Apartment is great, spacious and nicely decorated. We were positively surprised to see that it was larger than we expected.
Claudia was super accommodating, she helped us with our luggage and car parking. Once in the apartment, she was sweet to give us all the instructions needed to make our stay smooth as well as have sweets, snacks, drinks, milk, cereal and wine readily available in the kitchen. She also gave us great restaurants recommendations and map of Perugia. She was close by in case we needed anything in the following days.
Claudia was brilliant - I arrived late, and she was very flexible. Her home was in a perfect location right in the centre of Perugia.
Would certainly go back and also recommend to anyone. Thanks Claudia.
We had a wonderful stay in Claudia's apartment. The neighbourhood is in the heart of town and just a 4 minute walk to the main square. Though it's so close, it's still very quiet at night and we got good sleep in the comfortable bedrooms.
We were picked up at the bus station and taken to the apartment by Giancarlo - a lovely and so welcome touch! The breakfast goodies were much appreciated and she gave us a warm welcome topped up by a very useful guide to the area and apartment.
Pretty much everything that we could think of was provided from spare blankets, pillows, rain jackets and more! Perugia was lovely in and of itself but the warm welcome and comfortable surroundings of Claudia's apartment will stick in our minds for a long time.
