    Response from Nistha:

Dear Linda, I am so sorry that we could not provide you a room close enough
to your workshop. I pray that you will find a nice place that will
conveniently allow you go back and rest in your room during break time.
Hope you have fun dancing and enjoy your stay in Sedona. Namaste, Nistha

  • I had a nice stay. The hosts were kind and gave me information whenever i asked. They also had a lot of fresh fruit around! The place was quite clean as well. I don't give 5 starts as I had thought there were more activities available such as meditation sessions and such but there weren't while i was there, but otherwise it was a nice place to stay. They gave me a nice book with information on vegetarian cooking, and also helped me to book my bus to the airport in a rush and quite late at night. I appreciated that very much. Thanks Red Rock Asrama!

  • Interesting, quiet, place to stay with a real 'India' flavor. Nice room, although bed was bit too soft for my tastes, with a shared bathroom. The location was excellent for Sedona and price was reasonable.

  • A great place to stay - very clean, quiet and relaxing. It was great to have a fridge in the room, with a jug for tea and for porridge. Nistha was very friendly and accommodating, and we had lots of great chats. I was also lucky enough to be there for the first full moon of the new year and to experience a full moon gathering. Sedona is quite widespread so for me having a car made it a lot easier for shopping, bush walks. Discovering the local health food supermarket (New Horizons) was a big bonus for me - excellent choice of food to bring home as well as a great deli/cafe to eat there. Thank you Nistha for all your help and guidance!

  • Red rock Asrama is a lovely place to stay! Our hosts were so gracious and friendly. They offered us delicious chai and healthy food. Our room was very comfortable and clean and there was fresh fruit , tea, oatmeal and a mini fridge and electric tea kettle. The beds were comfortable and the shower was good too.
The place was immaculate and beautiful! Indian textiles, paintings and art everywhere. Interesting library of books to peruse. Goats in the yard that you can pet. Fresh goats milk too! And a pet parrot named Shri Ram lives there too!

  • My sister and I had a great stay there with Nistha. We had the two single bed room and arrived on Christmas day. She was very accommodating and welcoming. Thanks!

  • The place was WONDERFUL!

I've stayed at other Airbnb offerings and this place was exceptional.

The price was right, the home inviting, the hosts were also very welcoming to us both.

There were two twin beds which were very comfortable and we only used one (my gf loves to cuddle all night). There was also a mini fridge in the room so we didn't have to throw away food we traveled with, although there were rules against meat and other animal products which were prohibited (not an issue for us).

The shower was clean, towels and fresh linens provided and although I would love to give this place 5 stars, just know that if you stay here, if there is someone staying in the adjacent room, you will hear EVERYTHING (with both doors closed and so forth).

We thought we were going to make a baby with the fertility of the full moon, her date of ovulating and in a very sacred space, but not with our roomate nearby (who had a set of pipes perfect for AM late night radio... deep).

Outside of that, coming and going was a breeze (there was a posted curfew of 10PM to be home) but again, we were in earlier each night and it wasn't an issue.

I would love to stay here again and have a chance to meet the actual owners and host of the Asrama another time if possible. The people who were there were minding the place while they were away in India and they were awesome hosts and made us feel at home.

That's it... definitely stay here if you are passing through Sedona and are in a spiritual frame of mind, vegan and don't want to stay in a hotel.

(PS - The guest shower... left (hot) to 6 O'clock, right (cold) to 3:30-4 O'clock positions... for warm/hot shower. I also fixed the sprayhead as the sediment had it shooting all over or not at all.)

Red Rock Asrama, Sedona Center of Vedic culture
I grew up in the Fl. Keys. I moved to Az in 2010. I live in Sedona, Az. I am married and a volunteer for the Sedona center of Vedic culture. I am the hostess and asrama manager for the the center's Red Rock Asrama. I like to study ancient Indian religion and culture. I have a pet Alexandrine Parakeet and look after a small herd of 5 Nigerian dwarf goats. I enjoy travel, reading, nature, animals, and children. Before the recession, I worked in private homes, care facilities, and a charter school. I was a nursing assistant and a behavior assistant, caring for and teaching individuals with special needs.
