The apartment is a clean and modern 1 bedroom that, for NYC, is fairly spacious. It has a full kitchen, bathroom with tub, I will leave clean towels for your use if you like. The bedroom has a full bed, which will have clean linens. Sorry, no cable, you should be out enjoying the city anyway! :)
All the furnishings are pretty new and modern style. There is one full wall of exposed brick in the living room and bedroom. Good heat and 2 A/C units to keep it cool in the summer. The bedroom gets the most light with 2 windows, there is a window in the living room and bathroom too. The apartment faces the back of the building so it is exceptionally quiet for being in the middle of the city.
The building itself is gorgeous, safe and well maintained. The apartment is on the 3rd floor (2 flights of stairs).
No more than 2 people. No pets, no smoking. Please be extremely respectful of the building and neighbors.
This is an amazing apartment in an amazing location. I truly felt like it was home and didn't want to leave! It was warm, even during the coldest winter in history, is a stroll to any number of bars, cafes, restos, shopping and more.
Krystle was friendly and communicative, I didn't have a hitch and I got plenty of advice on what was good in the hood. 5 stars.
I couldn't recommend Krystle's place any more.
I stayed in this apartment for a month and it was absolutely lovely. The neighbourhood is fashionable, bursting with great shops and restaurants. The apartment is just as pictured and Krystle was a wonderful host! You could not ask for anything more.
Had a great time staying in this apartment for a month - it's exactly as pictured and described, and in a fantastic neighbourhood. Krystle was a great host, taking the time to answer my rather incessant questions as a newcomer to the world of Airbnb, and meeting us at the apartment to check if we had any questions but then letting us get on and do our own thing once settled in.
Will definitely check this apartment's availability if we return for a prolonged visit again any time soon - both the apartment and neighbourhood are fashionable and have everything you might need during your stay.
The listing was everything we expected, and the neighborhood was everything AND MORE. Regarding the experience of moving in, it was super easy. My girlfriend and I only saw Krystle when we arrived, she responded to our texts before hand (which was cool since we have French phones and were worried we wouldn't get responses), and after giving us the keys we never spoke until we left, where checkout was as easy as leaving the keys in the living room and heading out. We found this to be a good thing, especially since she had a couple sheets printed out for tips on shopping and eating, and above all we found it very sweet that she had water and some snacks in the fridge for us, which was more than we could ask for, and a nice sweet touch.
The apartment is EXACTLY as it looks in the photos. No TV which is great bc we were out and about all day everyday. The location was spectacular, we walked to both Central Park (a bit of a walk) as well as he Financial District, and with the city bikes, all of NYC is easily doable.
Mott St (especially this section) is gorgeous, with lots of petite cafes, boutiques and restaurants. A word of advice, check out Grey Dog on Mulberry for delicious coffee and breakfast/lunch as well as amazing music and vibes. And the BEST COFFEE IN NYC is La Colombe on Lafayette st just a couple blocks away.
Do NOT go to Cafe Gitane. It's a great location right next to the apartment, but the service isn't very nice, and the prices are outrageous! And above all, as they try really hard to be french, and as I live in Paris (and my girlfriend is Parisian), we know what we're talking about when we say their food is not french in any way, and yet they charge prices higher than France.
Anyway, that's neither here nor there, point is I wouldn't choose any other place to stay while in NYC. Decent rates, fantastic location, great apartment, the ONLY drawback I would say is the apartment isn't very well lit, but that's literally if I HAD to pick a drawback. The best part is, even though it's perfectly located, and right next to Houston and Broadway, it's very quiet and easy to get a good night's sleep!
Hopefully you guys can enjoy your time there as well. I highly recommend it.
Staying on Mott Street was like staying at home! The apartment was clean, fresh and super convenient. We spent a full seven days and it was awesome. Really don't have anything to complain about. Krystle was great and made it possible for us to check out late and pick up keys easily.
The little insider tips on restaurant, bars and shops in the area really made life easy for tired feet!
Everything was good. The appartment was very nice, calm close to many shops, bars and restaurants. I would recommend this place for sure.
The apartment was great, clean, cosy (nice and warm when it was freezing outside!) and well equipped, it is in a great location that is close to restaurants/bars, transport and shopping.
Krystle was great and let me check out late when my plans changed.
I will stay here again on my next biz trip.
