It 's a really good place also for families with children.(website hidden),We have not air conditioned but the house is ancient with big walls and hight ceilors in wood and it is in shadow so it is not so hot in summer . We have some fun available too , we have wifi free zone
Parisina's apartment on via sistina was everything we had hoped it would be. Excellent location in central Rome close to all of the major sites and museums, conveniently close to villa Borghese and the gorgeous park, with stunning panoramas of the city. Despite its centrality, the location felt local enough to feel removed from the main thoroughfare of tourists and site seers, which was a blessed relief after a hard day seeing the sites. Violetta was lovely and welcoming and gave very good advice and recommendations. The flat was clean and traditionally furnished and greatly improved our experience of Rome. Special mention must be made of the incredibly quaint lift which I enjoyed using immensely ! Thanks Parisina, we shall lost definitely be back! Chris
A quirky little flat full of character and charm. Staying here made my trip to Rome even more magical. Whilst bathroom facilities were basic, the shower worked very well and always had hot water. The room was huge, and definitely private. All adjoining doors to other rooms were locked, and these were communal rooms not bedrooms. During the evening it was loud as there was a busy street below, but I enjoyed listening to the hustle/bustle and it had subsided by midnight. Very good location near several key sites, I was able to walk from both the station (approx 30mins) to the apartment and to several tourist spots - some within minutes. I would highly recommend this place, but perhaps not to those that would be adverse to antique furnishings and fittings.
Parisina's place It's not private apartment. It's a kind of sharing rooms with common kitchen and wi-fi area (internet is not working in the bedroom).
If you an allergic please avoid this place - very dusty. And I recommend to prepare your own towels. Locals are extremely sticky. At the end - it's very noisy. Via Sistina really busy street with all day & night traffic.
In my announcement there us written private room not all apartment , if you find dusty the accomodation , why uou have not asked to mrs Violetta to make an extra cleaning,? And at the end I think that you know that we are in the center of Rome and not in a small quiet suburban street , And I want to know why when there was a loss of water from the water heater you said you did not trust to let in the plumber , to fix and we risked flooding the downstairs with a serious detritment to me
Very nice apartment! The location is great, very convenient for walking to most of tourist places. Violetta was nice and helpful. The bedroom is quiet and clean. I would definitely recommend. I had a nice time in Roma! Grazie mille!
Great location. Violetta was fantastic - made us a simple breakfast (which we were not expecting), accommodated our early arrival, arranged transportation to the airport etc.
Parisina was always very prompt in providing clear responses to queries.
The place, as stated by other reviewers is grand with a quaint elevator and decor. Memorable. Highly recommend.
We were 5 of us for 2 nights.
Sensational location and a fun, unusual apartment. Walking distance to everything we wanted to do, and some decent restaurants very close by. It was a pleasure.
Great experience! We love it!
The Two Step from Spanish Steps apartment was nice and met our needs for location and value. Contact with Parisina was excellent and she was very helpful with tips and recommendations in and around Rome for tours and transportation. The two bedrooms and two bathrooms were fine for four adults, plenty of space for all of us! Also, having an elevator was helpful for taking our suitcases up several levels. We would stay here again - everything is in walking distance - great if you're budget conscious - spend your savings on all the great food and attractions in Rome! Also, it was a pleasure to meet Ms. Violetta, a very delightful host that took care our needs and even provided a simple breakfst each morning!
Certainly a quirky and interesting apartment. Great location. The apartment has an old world charm to it, plenty of space, plenty of sleeping room and 2 fully working bathrooms. Overall a good value.
This is an exceptional place. It has been in the same family for over 600 years. It is steeped in history and is within a stones throw from the Spanish Steps. So you are right in the middle of the historic and fascinating 'Eternal City'. My stay was made very enjoyable by the warm welcome of Snra Violetta.
If you like big breakfasts, you had better go out.
Excellent value though - a find!
