Welcome to The Tannery. Our individually designed 3 storey townhouse nestles in the beautiful and historic Hastings Old Town.
There are 3 rooms available (each room being £75 per night) and anyone renting a room will have access to the whole house. If you would like to book more than one room then just drop me a line and I will send you a pre approved offer.
Entrance to the property is via the video entry system which leads onto the beautiful private courtyard garden.
On the ground floor is the contemporary kitchen and dining area, which leads via the large folding patio doors onto the courtyard, as well as a third WC. The kitchen is fully equipped and comes with all the modern trappings you would expect - dishwasher, microwave, double oven, large gas hob - as well as all the cooking equipment you may need.
The three large double bedrooms and the bathroom are situated on the middle floor. All beds are dressed with Egyptian cotton bed linen.
The master bedroom is situated at the rear of the property, and has its own modern en suite. The bedroom is characterized with an assorted mix of furnishing that give a warm and clean vintage feel. The bedroom benefits from a large private balcony that looks down onto the courtyard garden and provides the perfect place to have a quiet drink in the evening.
Situated at the front of the property the second bedroom has a king-size black French noir bed. The room is accompanied with vintage rock and roll memorabillia and has an elegant romantic feel.
The third bedroom is also at the front of the property and has been designed with a relaxed and peaceful approach in mind. This bedroom also benefits from its own private balcony which is the perfect place to drink coffee in the morning sun.
A clean lined, contemporary bathroom is situated on the middle floor which is home to a bathroom and shower and will be shared by people staying in bedroom 2 or 3. Each guest will be provided with fresh white Egyptian cotton towels.
The top floor living space is the heart of the house. The natural sunlight that streams into this room gives the place a bright and airy feel all year round. The comfort comes from a large sofa, a vast collection of cushions and throws and a pair of French leather club chairs to relax in.
The bright open space also holds a library area, the usual home entertainment requirements and another large glass balcony with picture perfect views of the East Hill.
It also leads onto the large roof terrace which ensures all day long sunshine and provides a great place to dine in the evening.
There is off road parking available for 2 cars.
Hastings is a gem and we are more than happy to provide any advice on things to do and see in the area.
We are positive that after your stay at The Tannery, and everything this beautiful property has to offer, that you will not be disappointed.
Enjoy your stay first of all! No smoking indoors, shoes off and keep the noise down after 10pm.
The Tannery is a lovely home away from home in a fantastic location. It is extremely well designed and very close to the seafront, shops and restaurants of Hastings. We also visited Rye, Camber and Dungeness, making for an excellent Easter weekend. Highly recommended.
We spent a lovely weekend at Andy's beautiful house. It was clean and nicely decorated, just as in the pictures. It is very airy and light, and feels very spacious.
Andy was very welcoming, the perfect host.
The Tannery is the perfect place to relax, unwind for a weekend break and enjoy the delights that Hastings and the surrounding areas has to offer. Andy has a delightful house and made us feel extremely welcome. The power shower was a personal highlight and the house itself has been wonderful crafted, full of natural light and filled with Hastings finest vintage emporiums.
It is smack bang in the middle of the Old Town so exploring the local pubs, coffee shops, restaurants and quirky junk yard shops is a pleasure. Two bulls steakhouse serves an incredible steak, Pomegranate restaurant is quaint and romantic but backs it up with fresh fish and honest and charming service. Be sure to grab coffee and cake at the cosy Hanushka and pop in for a jerk chicken baguette at Soul Food. You can't go wrong with an after dinner (email hidden) either. A trip to Rye and a stroll along the beach at Camber Sands are not to be missed either.
Stay and experience the magic of Hastings yourself, you're in for a treat.
Lovely flat. Extremely clean, spacious, quiet and airy. Close to some decent restaurants and the beach is only 5 minutes away. Perfect for a weekend getaway.
Andy was excellent throughout - on hand to answer questions and tips, whilst still making it feel private.
Beautiful house in perfect location, and Andy was the perfect host. Welcoming and relaxed, really informative about the area and the house. I felt really at home and really hope to come back.
Thanks so much Andy :)
A thoroughly enjoyable stay at the Tannery. A beautiful home with a rather quirky layout and feel and right in the middle of the old town meaning everything is but a short stroll away. We went for my brothers birthday and Andy was more than accommodating being flexible with check in and out times and off street parking for our 2 cars. We had a few additional people come along and were able to bag an extra room hassle free, especially important when we had 3 kids in the group. We will definitely be staying again, cannot fault it or recommend it highly enough, definitely one of the best air bnb stays I've had.
The Tannery is a lovely place where we spent a very nice night my mom, my aunt, my sister and I. The 4 of us were enchanted by the coziness, great decoration. Andy made this place a jewel with beautiful views over the city's roofs from the terrasses. The little courtyard is really charming too. The beds and bedding were comfortable and the bathroom nice. Plus, not the least, it is walking distance from a few streets with bars, restaurants and interesting boutiques. I would highly recommend the Tannery!
