About this listing
Newly refurbished room in a converted Icecream Factory, bang in the centre of York.
Its a few minutes walk from the railway station, right amongst the shops, bars, clubs and restaurants, in fact a short walk from most of York's attractions.
Your room is on the 1st floor with a king sized bed, wardrobe and comfy chair. On the same floor is a shared bathroom and livingroom. There is unlimited wifi.
Located within York city walls in a quiet street, our home was once a 1940's built Italian ice cream factory which we converted into a unique three-bed house. It's an interesting and spacious home, with a contemporary feel and we've tried to retain some of the special character of the original building.
We are 1.9 miles from York University, 1 mile from St Johns University, 1.5 miles to York Racecourse and only 10 minutes walk to York's Minster.
Fresh bed linen and towels are provided.
There is a secure garage on the ground floor, its £5 per day to hire but must be booked beforehand.
About the Host, Mike
I've lived at the ice cream factory for 5 years, slowly getting the place into shape.
I'm relaxed and easy going. Pop in and say hi, or keep yourselves to yourselves, I don’t mind.
I am self employed and create websites, I use a downstairs room as an office so I'm available all day if you have a question.
