Portland's Richmond neighborhood balances the best of two worlds: Fabulous dining on Southeast Division Street (a "sizzling culinary corridor") and a livable, "leafy neighborhood" that boasts community gardens, bike lanes and movies in the park. Hawthone blvd offers eclectic shopping and dining and Mt Tabor park is minutes away for an invigorating walk.
You can be downtown in 15 minutes by car or bus. Street parking is free. Stops for lines 4, 14 and 71 are a short walk away. Using Trimet couldn't be easier. Trimet has great trip planner available on its website, and online tickets available for your smartphone.
Biking is a great way to get around. Lincoln Street, where the house is was one of the first bicycle boulevards in Portland. Bikes are available for rental nearby and we can loan you ours when they are not in use.

Rich and Serron were great hosts with a wonderful home in Southeast Portland. The neighborhood is quiet yet still very close to the lively sections of Hawthorne, Division and Belmont streets, plus within walking distance of Mt. Tabor park. Bus lines are very convenient, (phone number hidden) and 75 are all within walking distance.
I highly recommend it!
Serron and Rich offered my girlfriend and I their place for a month and a half with little notice. We had plans to stay elsewhere in Portland for this period, but they fell through at the last moment. We were a little desperate to find a place that worked for us and would fit the time frame. But it turned out to all be for the best and we could not have found a better place to stay for the summer. The house is very beautiful and cozy and comforting. We had our own private living room that made us feel like we had our own space. The house cleaner came every week and kept the kitchen and bathrooms very clean. They made space in the refrigerator and cabinet for us, and let us take over the kitchen for meals. Rich put bike racks up in the garage for our bikes. There were numerous other little things that made the stay perfect. Rich and Serron epitomize the very best of what Airbnb is about and we would recommend the place to everyone and would love to stay again the next time we're in Portland.
Rich and serron were very hospitable. They were very good hosts and they were very helpful in offering advice for getting around. At the same time they gave us space. The room was very nice and felt like a little studio. They provided towels and bathrobes that made us feel fancy. Definitely recommend their space, close to several Portland gems.
My boyfriend and I had a great stay with Serron and Rich. We didn't see them much as we were out most of the time but they were gracious hosts. I really enjoyed how they had a binder with restaurants and points of interest that they recommend. The house is lovely and conveniently located by lots of great restaurants and shops. We stayed in the upstairs room which was up a flight of old, creaky stairs (though the hosts ensured we were not to worry about the noise). The room was very nice and the bed was great to come to after a long day of walking around Portland.
Serron and Rich were perfect hosts. They opened their home to us with grace and made us feel welcomed. It is a lovely environment with all the charm of an older home. The bedding is cotton and down, which is a rare thing in the hotel world, and I didn't even need to bring my own pillow because the one provided was perfect! We will be back.
We had a great time staying with Serron and Rich!
The house is located a couple blocks away from the activity center with a lot of restaurants, shops, coffee shops etc. walking around is a lot of fun! There are 2 groceries stores and bus stations near by.
Our room on the second floor was clean and very cute. The bed was very comfortable and definitely called for sleeping in. Towels, bath robes and hosts suggestions on exploring Portland were provided as well. We also had a bigger entertainment room with TV and magazines for our use. Roomy shared bathroom was clean very comfortable.
Kitchen is fully equipped which was great for us, as we made at least breakfast at home. We also had some space made in the fridge to keep our groceries.
There is a nice patio which we had a chance to enjoy due to the perfect weather.
We didn't spend much time with Serron and Rich, but every time we ran into each other we had a pleasant, useful conversation. They provided all the needed information and answered all the questions. Also, they just very very very nice people!
Serron and Rick were lovely hosts. We didn't get a chance to see them too much as we were out and about on the town but we had a great stay. The room was incredibly spacious and very cozy. Everything we clean and they were very accommodating. Also very fun and interesting people to talk with, we wish we had more time to get to know them a bit. The neighbourhood is fantastic. Beautiful walks and close to Hawthorne and Division. We enjoyed tons of good food around the area. This is a place we would definitely return to on our next trip to Portland.

I am a naturopathic physician and acupuncturist and love people and plants. I have a love of tending to our abundance of gardens with many medicinals and edibles. My husband is also a naturopathic physician and professor. He teaches and does research in natural medicine. He is a woodworker in his spare time and has masterfully restored our 1912 Craftsman home. We are foodies - frequenting the farmers market and cooking great tasting healthy food. We love the outdoors, traveling, music and DIG Southeast Portland in all that it offers in character and style.
