Double sized suite in huge full floor 3 bed in east village. The room was originally 2 bedrooms and has been combined. You have your own couch (West Elm), working desk, coffee table, full bed, and night stand. Amazing neighborhood, some of the best restaurants in the city.
Top floor with roof access with views to the Empire State Building, Chrysler Building facing north.
Full house access, living room with flat screen TV, full kitchen, etc
I've lived in East Village for 8 years and know the area really well. Happy to provide suggestions for anything you're looking for.
Grocery store across the street
Had a wonderful stay at Mario's place. He was a warm, accommodating and convivial host, who gave great recommendations and had prepared a lovely room in his charming, spacious apartment. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to stay in the city.
I would highly recommend staying at Mario's awesome apartment! The location is ideal and he is so accommodating. Thank you Mario for making us feel so welcomed!
Room is bright, clean, and spacious; bed is comfortable; apartment (including shared bathroom) is also clean and seems safe; location is great. It's a few blocks to the nearest subway stops, but not a bad walk.
Mario was very responsive to emails and texts through the whole process. He was out of town while I was there, so I didn't get to meet him, but his roommate is friendly, and I had no trouble making arrangements to get / leave keys.
I would stay there again.
Really nice and well finished huge room. Really friendly hosts. Great area. Shared bathroom was nice and well kept. All in all a brilliant choice for staying in the Lower East Side.
Mario was a wonderful host - helping me to make my stay easy & convenient. The accommodations are exactly as pictured & described -- I especially liked being able to sit on the fire escape. Wonderful to have a full supermarket across the street & a full kitchen (saves on $$ eating in NYC.) While it's a few blocks to walk to the subway, bus service is just around the corner.
Mario is absolutely correct, the pictures are accurate: This space is huge by Manhattan standards! It's an easy walk from the 2nd Avenue F line and the full service grocery store is right across the street. He keeps a tidy household. Like everyone else has said, he takes hosting seriously and is easy to connect with by text message when he's not at the property. The shared bathroom arrangement worked well as was also well kept. He provided towels and had a hair dryer available. He provided had a sealed toothbrush kit, just in case. Pay attention during the quick tour to where all the fixtures and switches are located. I count this as part of the charm of these lower east side properties. The WiFi system worked well.
Fantastic experience - I'd go back again, easily.
I stayed at Mario's place for four nights at the beginning of December. The room is huge, clean and warm. Mario and his housemate were largely out for the duration of my stay, so I generally had free run of the place, which was awesome. The location is perfect. For the first time I felt like I was seeing the 'real' New York, as opposed to Times Square and the touristy midtown areas. I feel in love with the East Village and didn't want to leave - I will be back!
Tip: check out the view from the roof. It's sensational!

have a nice stay at mario's place! clean, safe and very confrotable room!
Mario was very kind host
for sure i will stay again in his place!
This was our first airbnb experience, and I was impressed. Mario is a responsible and friendly host, and the room was just as advertized (very clean, natural lighting, big for NYC standards, comfortable, great location for touring). Although I wondered if staying in someone's apt would be uncomfortable, it was not. Mario and his roommate Sami are easy to be around and helpful. Half the time we were in the apt, we were alone as the guys were out enjoying their normal lives. I highly recommend staying with Mario in the East Village.
