Paul and his flatmate Champ were great hosts, and the apartment's location can't be beat. The room is basic but exactly as pictured. All in all, a great deal!
paul is very sweet and accommodating, his place was just perfect for us.
Loved the stay! Paul was extremely easy-going, polite and very knowledgable about the neighborhood. The room and house were clean and had everything I needed for my trip. Carroll Gardens was awesome ((website hidden)) the apartment is located within blocks of some great food, bars and lounges and the subway.
very nice neighborhood Paul and his roommate are very welcoming enjoyed my stay.
Paul is a great guy, very warm and generous. I found him to be interested and helpful. His place is in a top location. Having breakfast on the deck that the apartment has access to, is a brilliant way to start your day exploring Brooklyn and Manhattan.
A rare find;
Great location, great house and great price. Having breakfast on the garden deck in the morning sun, can’t think of a better way to start the day.
The house has some wear and tear but everything is very clean. The value for money is amazing. Paul is such a friendly, helpful and generous guy. Unfortunately we couldn’t spend more time with him and his roommate, but you have the whole house to yourself most of the day (and evening).
About to the neighborhood;
Beautiful brownstown houses and so much green. The Carroll Street (F/G) subway is about a 6-7 minute walk. However why would you wanna leave Garroll gardens. Court street is steps away and together with Smith street have absolutely everything one might need. And the best of all, no chain stores. Everything is authentic from a small bakery with great daily fresh bread to a store that burns its own coffee beans. All kinds of restaurants and stores around the corner. Propect Parc is about a 1,5 mile away and a fantastic place to run, bike or walk.
I would advise to take a bike and ride over the Brooklyn Bridge into Manhattan, it’ll only take you about 15 minutes. The same amount of time it takes from the front door to Manhattan by subway (F train).
Or walk via the Brooklyn Bridge Park or Brooklyn Heights Promenade, great views of Manhattan.
