Great place for long term, solo, mature business or educational travelers. Upscale Subdivision, Pool & Tennis. We are great scratch cooks who love healthy & ethnic food, wine and tequila. Our Standard Poodle does NOT shed, but he jumps! We are offering a clean private bedroom and bath exclusively yours. Exclusive use of Mini-Fridge & Microwave in Eating Room. Near Groceries, Community College, Bike path to State Park. Large, slippery stair is not good for anyone with mobile difficulties.
The space
We have a very open floor plan. What that means is that when we play music it fills the house. It is awesome when you WANT it to - but there are times when it isn't desired. For instance our dog barks at passers by, when we are awake and functioning. Yep, that can mean Saturday morning. If you want to know who we are - we love Elton John, Meatloaf, Journey, Adelle, Nora Jones, ACDC, Cheap Trick (home town boys), Eagles, Eric Clapton, REO, ABBA, Queen, Santana - and an assortment of musicians that we actually KNOW - yeah music says alot about you...... If you play the Piano or Guitar, we have those too and would readily share! It's pretty quiet here during the week, but on the weekends maybe not so much...
Guest access
We will loan you a "do not duplicate" key for the duration of your stay. We are almost always home. We live work and play here. In any case Loukas our Standard Poodle will greet you enthusiastically each time you arrive! You are welcome to use the "non private" areas of the house & yard, or just your Bedroom and Bathroom - the choice is your's. We provide our guests with exclusive use of a Mini-Fridge, microwave, pod coffee maker in the Eating Room, but do not allow "cooking" in our kitchen. Please ENJOY use of the outdoor patio areas! You will not regret it. If you want to use the association pool and tennis courts we may have to accompany you. Long term guests can be added to the pool roster.
During your stay
We are very friendly people who work from our home office in the basement. Just ask us for advice we will be happy to help! We love locally owned business', restaurants, bars and we will know where you can find great live music entertainment almost nightly. Expect that we will greet you when you come and go, by yelling "hello" from wherever we are.
Other things to note
Everything here is VERY clean! It can get cluttered, or messy, but not DIRTY. We are a NO shoes house. There is white carpet everywhere! Rob and I keep our shoes in the Garage. You can keep a couple pair in the foyer next to the front door on a rug.
A mandatory weekly cleaning is included in our listing. I will clean weekly throughout your stay. I will clean the bathroom, vaccum and dust and wash and re-make your bedding. I will ask that you have your things organized and picked up each Friday to allow me to clean! Arrangements can be made for a different day if Friday doesn't work for you.
There are two closets available for your use with hangers, wire shelving and a laundry basket.
The associated bath is exclusively your’s. It is equipped with fresh towels, and sample size items for temporary use. There are two drawers that you can occupy with your things.
Our business' Belles Firm of Architecture and Belles Travel have a full business office in the basement. There are several printers and a scanner with full business capabilities! Just ask if you need to print or fax something. It is PERFECT for the working traveler.
Our home has central air, we run it in the hot summer months. If it is not "hot" you can open your windows and/or use a fan that is provided in the room.. We think "hot" means 80 degrees plus. The thermostat is set for 74 - 76.
Wifi connection with guest access is available, no charge. You will be shown the password in your Airbnb account after you book. If you can't find it just ask us for it when you arrive...
Contact us for an optional meal plan during your stay by our friends at "Food 4 Fuel". They prepare healthy meals and snacks for purchase and pick up in a nearby location.
You are welcome to join us, with your food, for meals if you let us know in the morning, or timing just happens to be right. We always enjoy the social aspect of dining together. But we don't live on a strict schedule... each day is different.
Washer and Dryer, pay per use - $1.00 wash (with my soap) - $1.00 dry. I only allow use of Amway Laundry Detergent in my machine. Don't worry you will get spoiled too!
Our home has all the extras! (but we are not TV people) I can't remember the last time we turned on the TV.
