  • I was looking for a place close to the school I am attending this summer before moving into my dormitory, and I'm so happy to have found Yuka & Masashi's place! I only have great things to say about them :) It was my first airbnb experience travelling alone, and they made my stay great with their generosity and friendliness. Yuka and Masashi were both always sure to be there if I needed help!

Their place is very nice, modern, and newly built! The room I stayed in and the rest of the apartment were all sooooo clean and beautiful. It was equipped with air conditioning, a closet, a mini fridge, lots of guide books/pamphlets, and a pocket wi-fi (which came in lots of handy when I went out). It felt very homey!

The area is very quiet and safe with lots of little shops to see, and also with larger stores like Loft at the station. Also, I can't forget MARIO - their dog is so so so cute, you will fall in love with him! If you leave your door open, he will come in from time to time and play with you :)

I also took the cooking lesson with Yuka. We went to the grocery store together and cooked together afterwards. I had so much fun and learned some great Japanese dishes to make for myself and my family back home! Yuka makes the lessons fun, and we had some great conversations together too! Yuka also offered me delicious snacks, and served amazing homemade goods for breakfast!

In all, I had an amazing stay - even though it was only for 2 nights, it was definitely a part of my trip that I won't forget. They even kindly called me a taxi in the morning because I had so much luggage, and were lenient with my check-in times. They are a wonderful, kind, thoughtful, and caring couple. I am happy to have met them! Thank you so much Yuka and Masashi, let's keep in touch! ♥

  • My friend and I stayed with Yuka and her husband for two nights at the end of our trip to Japan. We had a lovely stay there with them. Yuka is so friendly and very helpful. Their dog, Mario is soooo cute!

Their apartment is clean, bright and very open. The breakfast she makes is also delicious. I would easily come back and stay with them again, if I get the oppertunity.

  • Our stay at Yuka's apartment was nice. She is a very smiley person, friendly, ready to help and answer your questions. She share with us good advice of restaurants to go. she invited us to dinner!! thanks! And her breakfasts are delicious :).
Her apartment is clean and sunny.
Probably the only inconvenient is that is quite far from the train station (about 20 min and more if you have luggage), the room is quite tiny so you should better have small luggages ;).
    Thanks a lot Yuka!

  • I enjoyed staying at Yuka's place and taking her cooking class. Her apartment is spotless and modern and the neighbourhood is very nice and good for transport. The ramen place she recommended was great! We had good conversations and overall I would definitely recommend staying with her!

  • I stayed with Yuka for 5 nights. Her place is near Kyodo station and being a fan of walking, I enjoyed the trips to and fro from the station to her place! It takes about 15-20 minutes and there are plenty of shops and little sights to see along the way. I particularly enjoyed walking past the elementary school in the mornings! You can often see little children outside playing. Also, their apartment is located just a minute away from two convenience stores! Even if you're hungry at 3am, you can always get food easily!

Yuka's place is extremely neat and tidy! The concept is very modern/minimalistic and the whole apartment is very comfortable! I am very impressed with how the toilet and bathroom are kept so clean! Yuka also has a fantastic kitchen which is also kept spick and span!

In the morning Yuka makes me breakfast and they are AMAZING! She does either Western or Japanese! You can tell her your preference! We would talk while eating and watching the news, and she would teach me many new things about Japan and the Japanese language! Yuka is very friendly, patient and nice. I asked many questions and she always made sure my question is answered! Yuka has a strong passion for cooking and we both share a love for eating and watching cooking shows. Besides that, I really liked coming home to Yuka's messages on the little blackboard behind their door, it's very nice to read that after a long day!

Yuka also has a toy poodle named Mario, a very friendly dog! He would often come into my room and sniff around my stuff, haha. Sometimes he would also sit on my lap to be petted. His favourite game is fetch!

Both Yuka and her husband Masa(and Mario) are extremely kind people(and toy poodle) and I am very happy I chose to stay with them this trip! :) I will definitely want to see them again when I come back to Japan! Thank you for hosting me Yuka, Masa and Mario! See you soon!

  • Yuka has a cosy apartment and a super adorable pet dog who gave us a warm welcome when we arrived. It's awesome that her neighborhood area has a number of really great supermarkets and local eateries around. I am impressed with Yuka's culinary skills, and inspired with the way she and her husband keep the apartment so neat, compact, comfortable and modern-looking. Thanks for hosting us, Yuka and family!

  • Yuka, Masa, and Mario are utter delights. Staying in their home was the perfect introduction to Tokyo.

Their place is tucked in a residential area on the west side of Tokyo. It's a beautiful slice of everyday Tokyo.

I arrived late (around 9:00p) and felt incredibly comfortable wandering the street from the station to their home. After arriving, I found their condo to be exceptionally modern and clean.

Although I didn't realize it at the time, lots of the amazing eateries and coffee shops of Tokyo are on the west side. Staying here would be a great home base for getting to these areas. Additionally, the ramen shop down the street (they recommend it when you arrive) is an authentic and extremely delicious treat (lots of locals frequent it). If you can handle some spice, I'd get the pork ramen with spice (I think it's the #2).

I took Yuka's cooking class and was thrilled to create a traditional home-style meal. As Yuka wisely noted "Japanese don't just eat sushi and tempura." I'd highly recommend her class (it was probably the best miso I've ever tasted).

The more questions I asked of Yuka revealed that she's quite the entrepreneur. Her cooking class is very popular, but she also keeps up other cooking jobs. She's incredibly funny and kind and an all-around fantastic host.

Masa is an incredibly interesting person as well. He works for a craft saké company and has made custom Lego designs that have been picked up through Lego's crowd-sourcing campaigns. He's very available and helpful if you have questions about Tokyo and Japan.

Yuka and Masa are just wonderful people. This home is a gem of Airbnb.

I had a lovely time here and couldn't recommend it highly enough. My only regret is not staying longer!

  • Yuka and her husband were great hosts, we really enjoyed the time with them and their cute dog Mario. We also took the opportunity to participate on Yuka's cooking class which was fun and we prepared delicious food. The location is 15 min walked from the nearest subway station in a friendly a peaceful part of Tokyo. The flat is amazingly clean and well maintained. Yuka prepared breakfast each morning which was far better than I usually see in hotels! I would defiantly stay with them again

  • Yuka and Masashi are amazing hosts!!!!
They have been extremely wonderful and accommodating.

We would recommend anybody who is interested in visiting Tokyo to come and enjoy their great local hospitality. The food and apartment are well kept. The conversations are friendly and warm. And there's never ever a dull moment being with them.

Tokyo experience was made certainly better with them as our hosts.

Thank you very much for such a lovely stay and hope to visit Tokyo again, very soon!
